"Alright, I won't pry too much into it." Jarxen waved his fork after eating a mouthful of steak. He was doing quite an excellent work in expressing his pretentious indifference. "Just tell me one thing, are you in danger?"
Julia shook her head, wiping the tears off her face once again but they just kept streaming down her cheeks. A pool of salty tears already formed on top of the table and it pained Jarxen when he noticed it.
"Wait here."
Jarxen retraced his footsteps and made a signal towards the chef behind the cafeteria buffet line. Briefly nodding, he went to the back of the kitchen and grabbed some warm milk from a dispenser. For a moment, Jarxen could tell that the cook wore a smile for a split second before handing him the warm milk he ordered.
