Chapter 154 - Impulsiveness

V felt his stomach lurch upwards as he fell on his back, making his wound open up even more. The good thing was, he was able to put Hubert and Chris on top of him so they didn't suffer in the fall. But carrying three times his weight took a toll on V as air escaped his lungs. He stood up wheezing before continuing his run as the humanoids closed in on him like homing missiles.

Somehow, V didn't feel nervousness creeping up to him. And although he felt an ounce of despair, he felt thrilled at running away from the Superior Humanoids. It was probably due to the fact that adrenaline was already released in his body.

Getting the boost he needed, V accelerated even faster, leaving a trail of blood behind him as the wound on his back finally completely opened. Some of the blood that trickled from his wound started to coagulate in his back but he ignored it, even though it felt weirdly uncomfortable.
