Instead of panic erupting in the room, it was only filled with ominous silence. Even Wilder Barnes, who's seen to not react during almost every discussion in the HeadQuarters, dropped one of the miniatures he was carrying. He managed to catch it before it reached the ground and soon after that, he removed the headphones he was wearing so he could fully listen to what Sarge had to say.
"Sarge, don't joke like that. It's not funny." Ms. Croft spoke as if to threaten him. Of course, Sarge sounded like he was relaying the truth but Ms. Croft didn't want to believe it. Even if it were a lie, Ms. Croft wanted to hear that everything he said was a joke.
