"Now that's what I want to hear," V said. "Don't misunderstand, I was fully prepared to join you if ever you decide to leave everyone behind. After all, my life's precious than theirs. But still, I wanted to see if your loyalty only amounts to that much and I guess I was wrong."
"W-what are you-"
"I guess this really has the potential to escape, huh." V chuckled. "Well, I can't help it but... allow me to assist you."
Cat briefly smiled at V. There was no way she was going to just leave everyone behind, not after everything they've been through. And if V wanted to leave right then and there, she wouldn't stop him. That's why she was elated that V decided to stay instead of running away.
"Ready?"
Cat nodded.
Two figures silently flitted through the street and rooftops. They were like two black shadows, passing through the area. Not only were they undetected to the human eyes, but even the other regular humanoids also couldn't sense them.
