Just as Cat was around the corner, she heard a weak groan and a faint sob. Although those things sent danger signs through Cat's head, she didn't rush through the scene since there were possible dangers. She paused and hesitantly peered into the small alleyway. She was prepared to dash off as soon as something dangerous appears.
"Help... please... " This time, the voice didn't scream, it whimpered.
The alleyway was so narrow that sunlight barely lighted it. It had the same ramshackle atmosphere as the surroundings yet it felt more tranquil compared to everywhere on the map. Cat felt a slight chill as a mild breeze hit her face and ruffled her hair. She squinted and retracted her head from peeking.
