Elisa stands as she accompanies a junior nurse who deals with her patients. But the atmosphere is a little unpleasant.
"I heard those who use armored-limbs feel uncomfortable when they sleep."
"That's because they still wear their armored-limbs while sleeping. But the discomfort will only be felt at the beginning of use. If you get used to it, you won't feel the discomfort anymore."
The patient at that time is a male Vanguard Tanker. The problem is his infected right hand. Cause due to the fight on the Silver Steel Mountain yard during the Catastrophe before.
"But are you sure just cutting my hand in half can free me from infection? Aren't you can't cure infection?"
"Infection only attacks the flesh. As long as not your main body that got infected, then we can still free you from infection by cutting the infected part."
"But from what I heard, there were people who got infected for the second time. Even though they have gone through the amputation of their infected body parts."
"That's because they force their bodies to still interact with Mana. Hunter bodies that have been infected are more susceptible to infection for the second time."
They had been through that kind of moment in about an hour. That day was also not the first day they consulted the patient. But the patient is still too skeptical about the treatment he will take.
Elisa gets tired and irritated by the patient's attitude.
"But from what I heard-"
Smack.
Elisa hit the table when her patience ran out. Now she understood why her Junior asked her for help.
"Mr. Brown, can you answer my questions?" asked Elisa.
"Isn't this a consultation session? Why am I the one being asked the question?"
Brown felt superior because he is the patient, and they are the employees who had to care for him. But seeing Elisa's motionless smile, it gave him a hint of fear.
"Al-alright, if the questions are still related to my treatment."
Elisa swapped seats with her junior. Then continue the consultation.
"Keep in mind, all these questions are interrelated and will decide your life. First question: Do you want to be free from infection and continue your life even though you have a robotic body part? Or would you rather be dying and die in the next two years?"
That question is so scathing. Both the Junior Nurse and Brown got shocked.
Brown's anger rose because Elisa should have known the answer. "Of course I want to get well! But -! "
"Then you agreed to amputate your right hand?"
"I told you! There is a Hunter out there who has an Infection -!"
"A fool doesn't fall into the same hole. A clever Hunter should know the risk when he interacts with Mana capacity that he can't contain."
Elisa's statement silenced Brown. But the big Hunter still hadn't lost his pride.
"I also heard that someone fell disabled due to the installation of Armored-limbs on his body. How are you going to explain that?"
"Failure to install Armored-limbs caused by the Specialist Mechanic doing the installation is most likely an unlicensed Mechanic. Licensed Mechanics have a probability of failing under 5% in their work. The treatment you receive is under the responsibility of the Greedy Dragon Family, and we will not hire an illegal Mechanic to treat all the victim patients from yesterday's Catastrophe fight."
Elisa's long explanation made Brown stutter. But there is still a bit of pride he could still strive for.
"Regarding amputating the infected body part, are you sure this infection doesn't flow in the bleeding duct? I don't want to amputate my right hand if I am diagnosed again with an infection that has spread to other parts of my body!"
Brown's still not falling. The junior nurse was furious, but she didn't have the courage to show her annoyance.
When the atmosphere is intense, Elisa laughs for some reason. That certainly raised questions for the two adults.
Elisa cleared her throat a little. "Uhm, I am sorry. Regarding your question - "
[Saint Staff record – Infection]
[Chapter 3 verse 1: "Infection only attacks the flesh and is not spread through the blood, but spreads through the flesh like rocks that can reproduce in rivers."]
"We have already given a copy of the notebook of The Light Giver: Infection Arc. The notebook should have educated and calm your worries about infection. Didn't you read it?"
Elisa attacked Brown with a statement Brown could not avoid.
Junior nurses did not think about it because she was focused on direct mental education.
"Are there any other concerns that still bother you?"
Brown, a Silver Vanguard, role: Tank, pride of Gate Village. Cannot be brought down by Catastrophe. But a little girl just left him speechless.
"Whatever!"
Brown reversed his position, facing the outer window.
Elisa rose from her chair. Brown's answer was to say yes, no matter what decision the Care Program made.
"Then please rest and prepare yourself for the amputation operation, which will be performed in a few days."
After that, Elisa and the junior nurse walked out of the room. But before they could get out, Brown was mumbling something.
"Fck all of this shit. All of this shouldn't have happened to me if that shitty Degree Young Master didn't exist."
Elisa suddenly stopped moving. Brown's complaint seemed to hurt her a little.
It worried the junior nurse that Elisa would do something. But Elisa immediately opened the door as if she hadn't thought about that previous complaint.
When they got out, they ran into two other nurses.
"Hello, Helen. Miss Elisa."
"Good evening," said Elisa softly.
The two nurses realized whose room Helen and Elisa had just visited. The two of them drew closer, then whispered.
"Did you two just consult Mr. Brown?"
"Is it working?"
At the question of the two of them, Elisa and Helen looked at each other's faces and smiled wryly.
Elisa led them away. Because their voices will definitely be heard into the room Brown is.
After being far enough, Elisa answered. "Well, it is difficult and requires a little coercion. But in the end he had no other choice but to obey because he wanted to move on with his life without feeling the pain and anxiety of Infection."
Elisa's answer seemed abstract. Two nurses looked to Helen for clarification. But Helen just smiled wryly to say yes.
At the fork of the hallway, Elisa stopped. "Okay, I'll go back to my dorm."
The three Nurses lined up and chanted; "Thank you for your help."
Elisa smiled sweetly at the friendliness of the three people who were older than her. "Please continue the hard work."
Elisa turned and left the three Nurses.
When they were in a different hallway, Elisa could hear the nurses talking about her.
"Even though she's younger than us, she can act that strong and mature."
"It must be hard for such a young girl to be by Greedy Young Master's side."
Because of all the big things that happened all of a sudden, the image of Ars, Greedy Young Master, in the eyes of the public was bad.
As :
"He lives up to his name, so greedy."
"He's trying to possess everything. Maybe later he will also enslave us."
"He has violated the amendment that all Hunters have guarded over the years! He thinks he feels great because he has so much money!"
"What would the Saint Staff say if he saw the land he liberated occupied by a cocky brat?!"
It's not hard to be on Greedy Young Master's side. That guy never even did anything mean directly to people. But everyone already thinks of him as a villain who wants to rule the world.
Elisa wanted to tell them about it. But the voice inside her said different.
'Don't give other people too much, or you will lose something valuable inside of yourself.'
That sentence made Elisa unable to fight the world and defend the hero who had saved her twice.
Elisa changed clothes and took her belongings from the changing room. She chose to go out the back door to avoid running into people.
But who would have thought someone entered the building from behind and suddenly hugged her.
