Today was our last day in the human castle. I had a nice time there although some bad things did happen, it was a pleasant week.
I was laying down on my bed, inhaling the sweet, sugar-like fragrance of flowers in the maintained garden. It was a soft and lovely scent that made me feel safe and comfortable.
Today's weather seemed a bit chilly. Although there was a sharp breeze, it wasn't too bad to stop me from seeing my dear friend. I miss him very much. I tossed around my bed and sprung up to change my gown. Today felt weird. It felt different. Maybe it was just me, but my intuition spoke differently.
After dinner we all got ready and packed our belongings. The butlers and maids lined up in front of the main entrance bowing down in respect as we left the Palace. The sun was slowly reaching the peak and the moon was slowly rising and casting a blue to red atmosphere. The tall trees lined up, about a hundred of them covered in blossoms and emerald leaves. Spring is my favourite season.
Under the trees, next to the trunk were spherical bushes and delightful Flowers, all were different species which included: Roses, Japanese anemone, hybrida, lavender, Aconitum, daisies and lilies. These were the only ones I could spot and identify, however there were more that looked just as appealing.
The Carriage was at the gateway, right near the end of the path made of limestone tiles which were placed perfectly enough to just about see the cracks of placement. The carriage itself was enlaced in gold. It was round and quite large in size, enough to fit 3 families.
The interior was just as exquisite as the exterior. It was quite mind blowing how detailed and well-made it was. Step-mother and Father sat first, then my older brother, me, and my younger sisters. The carriage was spacious so we could sleep and sit however we wished. The seats were made with fine cotton and silk, good for first class and royals.
The journey took 3 weeks, considering the fact that we lived in a different world through a "gateway'' as we call it, but we finally reached it and were on the way to the Deadrae Castle to send me off. They were heading to Melundiers, where the main Palace was.
I don't mind the fact that I have to live alone in my own, however sometimes the absence of life really does make me feel quite isolated.
Deadrae's weather was worse, I felt more terrible, I really feel like something bad is going to happen but I don't know, time will tell us the truth.
As some time passed, the humidity rose and the misty grey sky poured rain. Once again in my room, I felt loneliness strangling me. I sighed a soft cold breath, blowing a white cloud in front of me.
The darkness filled my room, capturing every corner. The cold frosty air chilled me to the spine, sitting alone, I felt isolated once again.
I realised that even being a princess doesn't help the fact that you are all alone, by yourself. My whole life I had finally realised that I only live for myself, that no one cares about my opinion, my pain,or my sadness.
There I was, silent, alone, emotionless and lost, with every breath I took i felt more and more empty. Why was I like this? I don't know...life is just horrible I guess.
I gazed out my window, observing the long scrawny trees towering above my solitary castle. They danced and swayed with every hit of wind. My windows clattered with every drop of rain.
I closed my eyes and laid down on my numbingly cold bed. I let the coldness take over my body and let my ears talk, listen, sense and hear.
The wind howled like wolves, the rain pattered like beats. I inhaled slowly and let the world sink in. Such a unbearable feeling of unhappiness, i hate it.
The abrupt knocking shifted my focus back to reality. "My princess, your dinner is ready" A quite timid sounding maid cried from out the door,
"Sure whatever." I replied in a monotone voice. However I arose to get dressed and go to my office to get some business done.
I knocked on the big black doors twice and for the third it sprung open. The hallway stretched across for what seemed to be miles, but was a short distance. I unlocked another set of detailed red doors, and here I was, in my office.
I tried to decorate my office with more colours like yellow and green to help myself feel more confident throughout the long boring days. One boring day was today. Silent, and all alone.
After many hours of small yet troublesome work, I had set myself on a long journey to Avalon City, to talk to the duchess about the crime.
The sun was setting and the sky slowly turned a yellow-red, the sun peeped through my window, looking like a tangerine. My boredom faded away as hours passed doing important business.
"I should take a stroll in the garden at least"I thought to myself. I stood up to walk down the sets of stairs but my legs numbed in pain, I think I sat down for too long.
Instead of walking I decided to stretch my wings for a while. Quickly sprinting down the hallway and out to the inner garden, re-locating the joints on my back. Bones caved in and black, thick feathered wings bursted out in front of me.
It's been a while since I've used these things to fly. I still remember my first time flying, that nervousness eating at my heart making it pump even faster, that same feeling was what I am feeling right now. Weird, I shouldn't be like this.
I took my long black coat and wrapped it around me, covering my arms and neck, and took a big step back whilst my knee touched the pavement, I leapt in the air and sprung my wings out.
With a big jolt of energy I thrusted them forward, pushing me further up in the cold, red sky. Wind gushed into my face and my castle slowly went out of sight.
Only the royal family has strong enough energy to fly, and me being a vampire, I have more power than anyone else. My family can only fly for a minute and fall back to the ground; however I can fly for more than 7 hours maximum.
I was peering down the land of Deadrae, analysing every step and movement of my people. They don't see me, but I can clearly see what they were doing. Stealing, kidnapping, selling, buying, gossiping, fighting and so on.
When did our peaceful land become so full of Mischief and crime?
After about half an hour later, I realised I had reached the countryside of the city, Melundiers. The important part. And there it was every Lord's castle and Palace lined up, spaced out, decorated and glorious.
Draven! his castle was around here, i should go have tea with his family and him. Today was a nice evening, maybe we could watch the moon rise together. We can even gossip about the other villagers and Lords.
