I've been contemplating if I should agree to the proposal or not. I've been thinking about it for two weeks, even though I've been solving other problems, bringing justice for my people, learning how to fight, dining with other noblemen and women, and other things. I've been doing great at all those things, but I can't figure out if I should marry him or not.
Whenever someone asks, I change the subject and avoid the question, "Will you be accepting Prince Nathaniel's proposal?" I am currently holding a sword in my hand, sparing with my knight. "Guh!", I shout, falling to the ground. "Your Majesty, what did I say about being distracted while fighting?", the Knight said respectfully. I sighed, "You said to NEVER be distracted while fighting with your opponent."
"Let's take a break, Your Majesty.", said the Knight. I nodded my head while trying to catch my breath. "To answer your question Sir Thomas, I still have not decided.", I scoffed. He sighed, "You're not hesitating because of that personal guard of yours, are you?" I flinched. He's talking about Daniel.
Before I could say anything, Clara came running to me with fear in her eyes. "Your Majesty!! YOUR MAJESTY! We must hurry to their aid! The Village north of here is on fire! Your Majesty!" Clara kept spouting out words so fast I felt the urgency of the situation by just listening to her.
I summoned Brute with my thoughts. I hurried and threw on my armor and cape. I jumped out my window and landed on Brute's back. He immediately ran towards the village that was on fire. My men followed behind me on horseback.
When we got there, my people were being slaughtered by soldiers that were unwelcome in my kingdom. They were killing everyone and burning everything. I went straight into battle with them. I sent all my men to the aid of my people while I fought off the perpetrators. Brute was very helpful, with him by my side, we were able to kill sixteen soldiers without any casualties.
After the fight, we put the fire out and saved what we could. I summoned healers, priests, and physicians to tend to the injured. I set up a station with food, clothes, and water. I had war tents put up as temporary shelter for the remaining villagers. Luckily, the village's temple wasn't damaged. My people yearned blessings in the temple of god.
Nathaniel soon showed up. Perhaps he came to show he cared for my kingdom like I do, or perhaps he just wanted me to accept his proposal. It didn't matter to me at the moment. I had other matters to take care of. I recognized the crest that was on the capes of the deceased perpetrators. It was the Kingdom of Abunadi, my cousin's fiancée's kingdom. I jumped on Brute's back and we went to the castle. This was an act of war.
