Seeing that Renea was still standing there without moving, Douglas sighed. "Look into the cupboard, you will find a basket there. Bring it here." Douglas said pointing at the cupboard placed on the left side of his bed.
Renea did what she was asked. She took a small basket from the cupboard and placed it beside him on the bed.
"Give it to me. I should have told you your fate a long time ago." Douglas said in monotone.
"My fate?" Renea asked in astonishment.
Douglas remained silent and took out a piece of cloth from the basket. It was royal-blue in color with yellow frills. He gave it to Renea and said, "This was yours."
Renea straightened the cloth and saw something written at the bottom, "Alvina".
"Who is Alvina?" She asked curiously.
Douglas once again sighed and said, "You. Your real name is Alvina. Your parents named you."
"Parents... but you..."
"No, Alvina, we are not your parents. Thirteen years ago on this day when you were born, our village was attacked by Masked Troupes. They wanted you. You were born with powerful magical abilities that can control every element on this earth. Nobody is more powerful than you. Before your birth, years ago, a priest had a vision. He said that the first child of Queen Zelda will urn the kingdom into ashes. It was you, he had a vision about you. When your mother, the queen knew she was pregnant, she ran from the castle to save you and started living in our village. But somehow the new queen got the wind of the news and she sends the masked troupe to kill you. Your family died saving you, but they were my best friends so I took you and ran from there. We tried hiding you but somehow they still got the news." Douglas retold the story to Renea.
With tears in her eyes, Renea said, "But... but."
"Here take this," Douglas said handing Alvina a ring and a pendant. "This was with you from the start." He then gave her a small wooden fox statue and said, "These creatures saved you years ago. I don't know how or why, but I have a feeling that you can rely on them."
"Father, I don't want to leave you," Alvina said sobbing.
"You have to. Think about your mother's sacrifice, don't let it go waste. I know you are born to do something big and I know you can achieve it. Now go. Leave us. And never disclose your identity to anyone. Live in hiding and remember to never trust anyone."
Alvina nodded, coping his every instructions in her heart.
"Sorry, my princess for not giving you a proper childhood," Douglas said in regret.
"No father, you gave me the best childhood. And you also gave me a family. I will forever thankful to you." Alvina said wiping her father's tears.
They heard a loud bang from the outside, followed by the painful screams of people. They looked at each other in horror. Douglas hastily said, "Run now girl. Take the back door and run as fast as you can."
Alvina nodded and ran to the other side of the house. She took a black cloak from the cupboard and draped it over her head. She then got out from the back door of her house and ran towards the forest without looking back.
When she entered the forest line, she hid behind one of the trees and looked towards her village. The whole village was lighted under the night sky. The flames were so huge that Alvina can see every detail of her village just as she had seen in it in the day. But the only difference was that in the day, the villagers were happy. They were busy with their work, were chatting, laughing, and were enjoying their life. But now all she can hear was the blood-curdling screams of everyone.
A single drop of tear escaped her eyes. 'It was all because of her, she thought. 'It was because of her that so many people died and many people will again die. It was because of her that her mother and her foster parents are dead. It was because of her that so many mother's lost their child and their lives to save their child's life.' The prophecy is true, her birth is turning her kingdom into ashes.
But was it her fault? No. All she did in these thirteen years of her life was to live like a normal child. It was the new queen and the king who is burning the entire kingdom in the name of a thirteen-year child.
Alvina's eyes burned with unshed tears. She clutched her pouch with both her hand and lowered the hood of her cloak and ran deep into the forest leaving a burning village forever.

"We have to take this matter in our hands. That useless worshipper of yours, can't even kill a thirteen-year-old child."
"Relax Poseidon, Let the mortals deal with her first." Zeus said with a heavy voice.
"No, we have to do something. She can awaken her powers at any time. It is better to first kill her before she becomes unstoppable." Poseidon argued.
"She is just a child Poseidon. You don't have to be so hard on her. And she haven't done anything wrong till now. How can we kill an innocent child?" A man in black robes said.
Poseidon gave the man in black a hard stare and said, "I know you have a soft spot for her Hades. But remember that she is a threat to Zeus throne. And we have to eliminate every threat as fast as we can."
"But..."
"No buts Hades. Poseidon is right in this matter. Cerci has to be eliminated." Zeus said in a grave voice. He looked at Poseidon and said, "Do whatever you want. Now this matter in your hands."
Poseidon smiled and vanished in thin air. Hades looked at Zeus and said, "I hope brother that you won't regret your decision." With this Hades also left the throne room, leaving Zeus in his thoughts.
