The cold season finally arrived. I thought to myself that even though I hate the cold, this was a good thing. Just like that time we had sat in that small tree house and discussed about what we will do after the exams, I did the same.
Back home…er…back on earth, we had our own places at the table sometimes but not about ranks, since being in this world I had quickly learned that ranks (or rather status) were everything.
Right now I sat at the head seat. I felt slight fear. Not because I felt myself in danger or that I might die, not with that desperate fear. But the fear of not doing things right.
So, I changed myself because when we do leave the school I am sure they will introduce me to people of high status. To the Wu family I am their legal first-born daughter, to the world that is me. My status was rather high because of this but how I acted, thought and portrayed myself... This is something that is more like a low born.
