Hard steps heard on the dark floor, feels like a void. He walks for ten minutes and stops, confused. The lad looks around, noticing nothing but sheer dark.
"What... what is this place?" He questions with his voice echoing over the endless abyss, repeating itself again and again. "Anyone here?" Continuing his dialogue, he takes a few steps forward, three to be exact.
"Welcome home pirate..." a devilish voice says slowly, seeing the smile covering the entire abyss as one eyeball joins. The smile had over fifty sharp teeth in it while the voice talked with the eye having a pupil so big it almost covered the entire eyeball itself, showing calmness yet fear in the same time. "You seem surprised... how so?" Giggles continue his speech, not just the voice's giggle but ones of what it sounds like thousands of people. Never the lad have been in such place nor experiencing such horror.
"What was your name again?" He asks the void, expecting an answer throughout him trying to ignore the giggling.
"You already know my name fool... don't focus on who I am, focus on what I am, kid."
"W-what?"
All black turns white, almost blinding the lad. Screams of men, women and children are rising in volume out of nowhere, as if they all are being... tormented.
"AAAAAGH!" Jack wakes up from the nightmare, looking around the room he's in. Lights are shut off, placed the golden chandeliers that hang from the ceiling. He takes a deep breath, reliving himself. "Phew... It was just a darn dream. By Mother's name what a nightmare..."
Whispers are heard from the bathroom, grabbing Jack's interest all of a sudden. The lad gets up from the bed, seeing all the drinks on the floor when he remembers what a great time he had because of Jean.
Taking a few steps towards his destination, he hears the whispers louder and louder. Jack gets right next to the door noticing that the whispers came from Jean talking with Torment.
"Can we agree to not harm anyone else in this mission Tor? I am asking this for the three of us." Steps of the Rose boss are heard, knowing he is going in circle while the two speak and ponder about the current situation.
"Three? Since when did you care so much about Jackie-boy huh?"
"Since I have realized a mistake I made-." Jean answers right before a terrible fate coming around the corner.
Torment quickly grabs Jean by his throat suddenly, as if he isn't a ghost no more. "Mistake?! I'll tell you to watch you tongue boy since you can't see what I see. All you could've known is that I would throw you out of your stupid ship and make you a pirate no more instead of Jack! Got that?"
"Y-yes T-torment, I'm sorry." Jean says, grasping for air above the floor itself. "Please don't hurt me."
"That's what I like hearing, now you WILL follow my plan right? RIGHT?" He shouts at him all of a sudden, raising up the entire room.
"Yes yes Torment, I will follow your plan! Now leave alone please!" Pleading, Jean agrees to Torment's plan. "You could wake up Jack with your shouting!"
"Good boy. Don't worry, nothing bad will happen if everything goes the right way."
A sound of a crash is bombs. Jean fell to the floor from Torment's grip, barely breathing.
Jack could not believe what he has heard, now knowing that he is a former pirate and that Jean is only a puppet of Torment. This entire night only causes him to breath heavier and heavier each moment that passes.
Sounds of a clock ticking are surrounding the room with time reducing in speed all of a sudden. The feeling of pressure almost overcomes Jack, making him grab onto his own chest and walk slowly to the bed, trying to not raise any sound so Jean nor Torment could hear. Only Jack's slacked and heavy breathing are being heard, like it's a horror film and he's the main character that tries to hide from a monster that is right around the corner.
"I can't believe it... I'm a pirate... I thought Torment was joking when he said it back in at the darn mansion... I need to rest, I can't properly think."
Everything becomes fuzzy to Jack in the time he gets onto the bed, barely comprehending all that was told. A headache rises into him, not able to think straight.
"What the hell in Mother's name is going on around here?" Jean leap is in through the door, checking if Jack is awake. To his surprise, he sees Jack on the bed with his left hand on his forehead throughout him breathing heavily. "What the... Jack are you okay?" He asks, running quickly to the slow breather.
Jack doesn't know what to do, either he lies or tells what he heard. There isn't much time to act, he must answer quickly to not raise suspicion in Jean or Torment.
All of a sudden he remembers. "I had a terrible darn nightmare." He says, gaining back the memory of his dream that just occurred. "I was surrounded by darkness, a darn voice called out to me and I saw only a smile with many teeth and one eye. The screams of many people risen up, as if they were all darn tortured..."
"By mother's name!" Jean swears out loud. "And did the voice say something? Anything important?"
"The voice said: 'do not ask who I am, ask what I am.' And giggled after with a devilish voice."
Torment quickly rises on Jack's left, whispering to his ear in curiosity. "Well... got any idea what the hell is all that about?" Following right after with a giggle, exactly like the one in the dream that happened.
In Jack's thought there is nothing but a swirl of mess flying from corner to corner, confusing the lad more and more than ever. Only one thing comes up in an instinct, lie to them.
"I don't actually... darn scared the shite out of me though."
"Ha! Clueless as ever aren't ya'?" Torment says as he rubs his hand over Jack's head, going over his long hair like Jack is his younger brother.
"Alright can you live him alone now Tor?" Jean intervenes between the two, looking at Torment in his eye. "Alright?"
"Hmph, fine. Can we sleep now?" He smiles, shrugging his hands all cocky like. "It's three at the morning... I'm just yawning at the thought of resting and closing my eyes, or more accurately eye but you get it."
Jean and Jack give a big sigh, tired of Torment's annoying act and fall on the bed, awaiting morning. Thus the night ended peacefully, fortunately for Jack.
The hour is 05:00. Morning almost hits with two hours away from hearing the radio broadcast of Galileo once again.
Gurgling rises up from below, like water was boiling in the kettle for too long. Something was going to happen and it sure as hell it won't be good, both for Jack and for Jean.
Explosion! The door leading to the terrace explodes immediately out of nowhere, lifting the entire room up. A force pulling all items out of there to fall from the hotel suddenly rises up as well, awakening the gentlemen up. Luckily the two were still wearing the womens disguise through all this time, even if someone notices there wont be trouble... except for the fact there was this explosion happening right now, causing them to be ejected out of the terrace... indeed a terrible morning.
"Jack?!"
"Jean?!"
Both yell, questioning the situation that is currently going on while the two look around and see themselves falling. The two fellas are still on the bed and just shout even more as if it'll solve their problem.
"DARN NO NO NO NO!"
"CRAP NO NO NO NO!"
"Isn't it a wonder to see two of you? After killing an incr~redible comrade of mine." A voice is heard behind them, French sounding with the 'R' dragged. "Killing Willhelm hmm? Quite unfor~rtunate to hear that, he was a good friend of mine, we two worked a lot for Boss Joshua. I guess I'll have a bit of revenge on his behalf."
"Wait... it can't be..." Jean immediately notices who it is, gulping nervously. He looks around and sees him. "Oh no..."
The man was two hundred and ten centimeters tall. He had a French mustache while wearing a rainbow colored suit, from red on his left to blue on his right, with matching long pants. A huge white flower in his middle upper chest part as well on his black shoes. His body shape was very thin, almost like a sword.
He was no other than William. Willhelm's partner and Dorothy's twin brother.
"So... how would you like to star~rt Hmm? I can give you some suggestions on how to put things to the right place. A place like Willhelm's!"
