"So, what do I owe this pleasant surprise?"
Elliot took his moment and darted at Wallace with skepticism, despite the latter heed no mind.
"I'm just as confused as you, Elliot. A lot of things happened while you're away. He's one of those." Anasthasia held up a finger, pointing at Wallace.
"Anyway, do you mind if we head over there?" He jerked his head towards the other corner: a brown polished card table for two people.
The interior lighting cast an overall amber glow for the most part, but it was relatively dimmer in that area. Fortunately, the bright moonlight graced with serenity.
It was an excellent place to have a small yet private conversation.
She peered over and didn't think twice as she nodded right away. She stood up, hands smoothing down her flared floral dress. "Wallace, please stay here for a moment."
It was a short yet subtle shudder but remained passive in the end. He could only gaze at her from afar.
