Zhyrine was busy roaming her eyes to look for Zyco when someone called her fake name out.
"Zyne!" Zhyrine turned to the person, it was one of her classmates, Pristine Hariette. From what she heard from Harris, she's from Bandir and was admitted in Veinlourd last year.
Pristine Hariette is an average pretty girl, fair skin, short brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a smile as she approached Zhyrine.
"Zyne right?" she asked and smiled widely.
Zhyrine nodded and grinned "Yes, Hi!!"
"My name's Pristine Hariette, nice to meet you!" she introduced and held out her hand to shake.
Zhyrine took her hand "I'm Zyne Valeine"
They both shook hands and let go with a smile.
"Wahh! You're really pretty you know, I really want to talk to you but I don't know how to approach you because you're always with the Elites." Pristine said sounding disappointed.
Zhyrine tilted her head in confusion "Why's that?" she asked.
Pristine was quite taken back at her words "Omo, you don't know? Everyone is afraid of the elites..." Zhyrine shook her head.
"Why is everyone afraid of them? They're not scary..."
Pristine's eyes widened "Zyne...how did you get close to the Elites?" she asked curiously
"Uhm, I met Yuki on the first day and he introduced the others to me then I met Zyco in Evergarden when I was lost."
Pristine nodded as she listens, after Zhyrine was finished talking, she turned to her.
"Are you still doing something in your group?" she asked but this time, her voice sounds serious.
Zhyrine shook her head.
"Okay, let's go somewhere." Pristine said and grabbed Zhyrine's wrist. The duo went to a corner and sat on a rock.
Zhyrine just had a confused reaction while being dragged.
"So, do you know why they are called the Elites?" Pristine asked.
Zhyrine nodded "Because they're always on the top 10." she answered and Pristine nodded.
"That's right but there is also another reason, they aren't named the Elites just because of that. The Elites, since they were kids they had been studying here on Veinlourd University and during their stay in the Uni, many things happened that made them the Elites. Listen carefully okay?" Zhyrine nodded at her.
"The Elites weren't admitted all together, Zyco Veinlourd came at seven years old along with Hathor Leinard who's eight years old. The next year, Aries Marione, Chain Filare, Rue Phyton and Harris Falcon came and they were all eight years old. The next year, Titus Redgman and Loki Mouriet came and lastly, another year came, that's when Yuki Coarce and..." she paused and whispered to Zhyrine "Xyrus Synderio came" she said.
"Why are you whispering?" Zhyrine asked.
"Oh right, you still don't know 'him', I'll tell you later why."
Zhyrine just nodded and glanced at Pristine.
'This girl really knows a lot...'
"Let's continue, so as we know. The Elites are the geniuses among geniuses, they are always the ones competing for the Uni and they never lose, not even once and because of that Veinlourd University gained so much recognition. During those years, they stayed in the Astatine section, which is the most advanced class. So now, let's talk about them one by one." she said and eyed Zhyrine who was just silently listening.
"Zyco Veinlourd he's the overall top student in the Uni. He's always just cold that's why no one ever approach him except for the Elites but not only is his attitude the reason. One time, I think he was about seven that time when he was just recently admitted, a teenage student came to him and mocked him. Zyco of course ignored but the student didn't stop so he poisoned his food and that student died. I was shocked when I heard this but It's actually true. Then when he was eight, he straggled his classmate's neck and when he was nine, he also poisoned a group of students, they couldn't prove the poison because they never found traces but the sudden death is already a clue. But you know, because they couldn't found traces of the poison, Zyco wasn't blamed. There as still many events like those but Zyco wasn't blamed due to lack of evidence. Scary right? That's why no one messes up with Zyco Veinlourd."
Zhyrine was silently contemplating inside her head, she has yet to confirm if these are true but it looks like it is because the girl wouldn't dare to lie. There's too much to lose if she would.
"So next is Hathor Leinard, he's actually the son of Veinlourd's butler. As I told earlier, he was admitted along with Zyco. He was always with Zyco, a he's a total bookworm and also a genius that's why he's always below Zyco on the list. Hathor is a quite man and he just follows Zyco, I don't know much about him actually....So let's go to Loki Mouriet, he's the third on the list but sometimes Xyrus would take his place, Loki is an strategist....wait, you must be confused but Veinlourd University isn't like those typical schools, students that enters Veinlourd are people that are expected to help the kingdom, most students that graduates becomes Politician, Counts, Strategist, Scientists, Military Generals, and many more that's why even the school criteria aren't the same with typical ones. Like I said, Loki is an strategist and also Xyrus that's why they often compete."
"Loki Mouriet is a bit weird I might say, I don't how he got close with Zyco but from what I heard he was saved by Zyco but I don't know what happened. Anyway, Loki is a scary one..." She said with seriousness.
"Loki is a manipulator and a great observer. Everyone says he sees through people and he's like a lie detector. He also hates other people other than the Elites and he's a very sarcastic man. I also heard that one time a pretty girl from Carliah confessed to him on the roof top and after that, no one knows what happened but the girl came back injured. Her cheeks has a deep cut and no one was in the roof top other than Loki so everyone assumed he did it. Anyway so..." Pristine went closer to Zhyrine and started talking in a low volumed voice.
"That girl I told earlier who confessed, she's--" Pristine stopped in the middle of her sentence when she saw Zyco approaching on their spot. Pristine's eyes widened and she immediately shut her mouth.
"What are you two doing?"
Zhyrine looked at him and smiled.
"Pristine introduced herself and we started talking." Zhyrine said and stood up from the rock they were sitting.
Zhyrine glanced at the bucket Zyco held and saw the fishes on it.
"Wahh! Z you caught these fishes?!" Zhyrine asked enthusiastically and squatted to look at the fishes.
"No"
"Oh, where did you get it?"
"They gave it." Zhyrine blinked her eyes.
"Ohh" she murmured.
"Are you going back to the tent now?" Zhyrine asked and Zyco nodded.
"Okay..." Zhyrine turned to Pristine and grinned "Let's talk again sometime okay?! So...friends?!" Zhyrine held out her hand.
Pristine nervously looked at Zhyrine's hand then glanced at the expressionless Zyco. She gulped and took Zhyrine's hand.
"Sure..." she said and smiled nervously. She took Zhyrine's hand and immediately let go.
"Bye then Pristine!" Zhyrine waved her hand and both of them walked away from the frightened Pristine.
Zyco was walking and Zhyrine had her hands on her back while her skipping and humming.
Zyco glanced at Zhyrine "What did you two talked about?"
"Oh, just some funs stories." She answered and grinned then continued humming.
