Chapter 60 - Broken Promise

His lip were soft and warm as he had smashed it against her. Her heart skipped sever beats.

It was like rain in draft after a drought.

He held her like she was a fragile glass doll.

Vaidehi let out a moan when his tongue met her. He held the back of her neck and made small circles to ease her.

They broke the kiss falling out of breath.

He peppered small butterfly kisses from her cheek to her jaw and that made her giggle shyly.

"St–Stop it. " She giggled and held on to him.

They both had a big smile plastered on their face.

The moment felt like ray of sunshine in wintery morning.

"You are so precious to me, Vaidehi." He kissed her forehead and whispered against her forehead.

"And so you are to me, Ryder. " Vaidehi said and giggled.

"I–I need to tell you something very important." He said in a serious tone.

"Hey. It's fine you don't have to tell me if your uncomfortable. " She held his and and intertwined their fingers.

His fingers felt like a missing piece of jigsaw puzzle to her hand which fill the gap between her fingers perfectly.

"Vaidehi I–"He said and gulped in nervousness and anxiousness.

"Hey, it's really okay. I understand." She smiled looking at him and with her free hand she rubbed small circles on his forehead to ease his tension.

"It's seriously Vaidehi. We–We can't go ahead with our relationship until I tell you about this painful yet the most beautiful part of mine. I don't want to keep you in dark." He breathed and looked at her in helplessness.

Vaidehi nodded and gestured him to continue.

"I–I am a f–" before he could complete his sentence a man run toward them looking nervous and scared.

"Sir, you need to go back right now. Ashton sir just got into an accident." That man said and looked down.

Vaidehi let out a shaky breath and looked at Damien.

And the sight terrified her to the core.

He was stilled like a statue and his face turned pale.

The charm and twinkle in his eyes vanish and was replaced with the look Vaidehi was dreading the most–helplessness.

She held his and and quickly took him to the garage and made him sit.

She looked at him worriedly and asked, the man who came to give the horrible news to them, to drive them to the hospital Aston was admitted.

The car speeded though the road in dark night.

Vaidehi kept looking at Damien who held her hand in a tight vice like grip.

She made small circles on the back of his hand to calm him, but it was as if he has suddenly disconnected himself from the entire world. Tears blured her vision as she looked down and waiting impatiently to reach to hospital.

As soon as they reached, Damien HD Vaidehi hand and run toward the receptionist to know the details of the room he was kept.

He than quick run toward the elevator and reach the second floor and saw Ally crying silently in one of the waiting chairs .

"How is he? " He questioned the doctor who just came out from the room.

"He is stable now. Don't worry. " He assured.

He slumped against the wall in relive. He turn and sat next to Ally and asked her softly. "How did this happened?"

"We–We were going for a long drive when a bi–big truck came out of nowhere and almost crashed ag–against our car." She hiccuped and wiped her tears.

Vaidehi side hugged her and made her drink water.

Soon they were said that they can meet him. Damien let Ally meet him first and than, when it was his turn he held Vaidehi hand and entered.

"Hey, Honey poo." Ashton said in a weak voices.

"Shut up, buttface! You scared the shot out of me!" Tears blurted his vision at the thought of the possibility that could have happened.

"Shh..I am fine. Now when I get up from this bed, I want to know all the juicy details of what had happened in that farmhouse of your. "He said with a teasing smile as he eyed the joint hand of Vaidehi and Damien.

Vaidehi smiled shyly and looked away.

"You better get well soon, Frog face. "

"Oh, I will but just make sure you both don't do hanky pinky and make me God father to your children. I am too young for that."

"Shut up, Ashton! " Damien and Vaidehi both said together.

It's been a week since Ashton's accident and thing we're slowly getting back to normal.

But the only thing that was eating Damien from inside was his secret.

He was desperate to tell everything to Vaidehi but everything he tries to tell her about it, one thing or other interrupts him.

He groaned and looked the frame on the side of his bed.

He wished she was here.

Very soon, he reminded himself with determination.

But before that he need to tell everything to Vaidehi.

It's been four days since he has last seen her. She has gone to Rithika's home because Rithika was getting contraction.

He missed her. He missed her presence, he missed that smile.

They did texted, but he was getting impatient to meet her.

He sighed and looked at the frame and care the picture.

The toothy smile of this certain pair of hazel yes made him chuckle.

He wished she was here? His thoughts wondered to what how well she and Vaidehi would have bonded.

A ping in his phone bought him out of his reverie.

And the text that he saw was enough to turn him into a statue.

Vaidehi was getting restless to meet Damien. Its been four days since she has seen his face.

She looked at Rithika ,who just nodded her head and gestured her to go.

She squealed and walked out of Rithika house .

She thought of calling him, but than surprise sounds better.

She giggled and quickly hired a cab.

As soon as she reached the door and opened it.

"I missed you Dad."

Damien was hugging a girl of around three or four year old.

She stilled listening to it, her face paled as she saw the scene in front of her.
