Chapter 1 - Chapter- Day 1: When Daylight Comes

It was bright, sunny day. Everyone was preparing for their school and works. But one person had a very unusual morning to welcome. That was Nathaniel, tall blonde guy with a heart of pure gold. It wasn't easy for him to see a very pale woman wearing suit inside of room while the sun was rising.

She was sitting to his chair in front if his desk. At first, he panicked and got of his room. But as soon as he calmed down, he asked his mother about that.

"Oh Nathan, goodmoring. Are you ok?" His mother asked as she saw her poor Nathan breathing heavily as he closed the door.

He took his last breathe before answering, " I am fine, mom but how come there is a young lady in my room?"

Her mother furrowed her eyes as she walked towards to his room and opened the door. She snuck inside and saw no one around. Then she glanced back at her son with a questionable face.

"There's no one in your room, Nathan." She said as she closed the door again.

Nathan gave her mother a little nod and spoke, "Mom, there was literally a young lady, staring at me. She was pale and wearing suit. She had a long tea blonde hair that almost resembles a fawn color."

His mother chuckled and asked jokingly, "Like yours?"

"Kinda." Nathaniel replied in a low volume.

His mother touched him and assured him. "Do not worry, my son. It might just be a dream."

He just sighed and smiled at his mother, even though he doubt that the girl was only a dream. He did not say anything and head over to the dining room. There, he just sat silently on the chair and rested his face on his palms. He stared blankly at the mirror in the front of him. He was thinking if the lady was only a dream then he should not saw her after he woke up. He kept on thinking to the point that, he did not noticed the meal in the table that was prepared by his mother. That made his mother worried a little bit.

"Nathan, my son?" she tired calling him a multiple times but she did not get a respond, and that made her higher her volume, "NATHANIEL."

Nathan almost fell from his chair and his mother chuckled. "Oh I am so sorry, honey. I have been calling for a multiple times and you aren't answering. Are you okay? Are you still thinking about that young lady?"

Nathan sighed and answered his mother "It was not just a dream, Mom."

His mother give him a smile and changed the subject "Eat. you can eat the meal. I prepared it for you."

He nodded but he did not ate the meal instead he stood up from the chair and smiled at his mother, "Mom, I'm a bit late for classes. I already took a shower hours ago and I think, I can wear my uniform and go to school."

"But-" Nathan kept his smile as he interrupted his own mother, "Mom, don't worry. I'll eat in our school." Then he went over to his room.

At first, he entered his room with a precaution but as soon as he realized that the young lady wasn't in his room anymore, he completely came in to his room without hesitation.

He sighed as he opened the closet and took his uniform. He wore it and prepared his things. When he finished putting all of the stuffs needed in his school, he quickly grabbed the shoulder back and head outside to see his mother cleaning the house.

"Mom, I'm gonna go!" He said while putting the shoes on.

His mother stopped and glanced at him, "Goodluck in your studies, Nathan." Then she smile a little, leaving a good memory in her son's mind.

Nathan smiled back then he left the house with a clear mind. It wasn't the first time though. Everytime before going to school, his mother always does the same thing. Smiling, cooking and cleaning, it almost feels like everyday is just the same day but this day, there was a girl. A girl that turns the repeated days into a new one. Creating a new mystery in Nathan's mind. An unusual day for him but not for his mind, a new one actually.

As he walked down from the hill while seeing a beautiful view of the city, he heard something. A female voice calling his name, full name.

"Who's that?" He asked in a loud volume and he looked around to see if anyone was in there with him but unexpectedly, he saw no one around.

He ignored it and continue on walking but as he took one more step forward, a young woman appeared in the front of his own eyes. Her face and skin are similar to the he saw before but this one has a long black hair that almost resembles a pure darkness or a black void.

He furrowed his brows as he asked, "Who are you? Are the one that I saw before?"

The girl stood in a formal posture and answered "indeed." Then she gave Nathan a little smile like the one that his mother gave to him and added, "I am an angel of death or you may know us as grim reapers. I am here to accompany because after 60 days, you'll die. Right now is Day 1 of your journey."

"Day 1? What do you mean? I'll die in 60 days?" He asked constantly in worried tone.

"Consider yourself as a fortunate human because not all of you receive this kind of blessing. Some people will see us after they die or day, hours before they die but in your case, it seems like God is in your favour." She explained as she fixed her suit in a proper way.

"Why am I gonna die?" Nathan questioned to her in the same tone as before.

She sighed and replied, "Because it's your time."
