A U R O R A
"They are called demon's horse because they can fly? They can pass through portals? Have you tried if the normal horses can pass through portals? I cross my arms whilst staring at the horses with the corner of my eyes. "I'm pretty sure they can't" she argues.
"This is philomel" she pats a horse on her left side, "filnomel," I say and grin at the look of annoyance on her face.
"Philomel, say it with me,"
"Fhilomel" I grin.
"PHILOMEL! Phi-lo-mel" that's how I say it. "Phi-lo-mel," "Good, but we call her Mel" why didn't you tell me that instead of making me learn how to pronounce philel, I mean fhil- oh whatever.
"And this Philip" she gestures to the right side, "You will be riding Philip" I nod and stare as the horse goes down for me to climb.
"They are demon horse" she answers.
We rode around the town, Korina waved that those that greeted, now we are stopping in front of a man that sells pieces of jewelry. "Why are we stopping here" I groan, "Don't groan, it's part of your tour." She stares lovingly at the jewelry, "What can I do for the princess today?" the demon asks with a smile.
"Nothing Harl" she answers with a smile still staring at a necklace, "why don't you just get one and stop eyeing the necklace hungrily" I whisper, "Nope, I had a bet, that I won't buy jewelry for a week" she turns to me.
"Bye Harl, see you next week" she waves, and the demon waves back.
After a long tour around the town, we are finally back to the castle only to see maid run around like headless chickens "The lord is angry" one whispers, "Why?" She other asks in a whisper.
"No one knows, all he keeps yelling is 'where is she?' Mary who thinks she's better than everyone almost got her neck snapped" she first answers.
Korina and I share a look "You don't think-" "Nah" I shake my head.
The horses are taken to their stables and Korina and I walk to the door that leads inside. "Why isn't a guard here?" I stare at the gargoyles on the castles one moved and I yelp and run inside only to see a very angry demon on the edge of transforming.
"uh," he snaps his black eyes to him and I see relief before it changes back to rage. He grips my arm in a tight grip and glares at Korina, "Where the fuck have you been? Did I not tell you to stay in your room" he asks in a deep very deep voice, "Technically you told Mary to keep me in the room, you never said I wasn't allowed to leave by myself or Korina wasn't allowed to show me around" stop being a smartass Rory, this is an angry demon.
He narrows his eyes and his grip got tighter, "Lucien will deal with you!" He snarls at Korina, I see two red dots appear on her cheeks. "Ow," I say when my arm aches me. "Brother you're hurting her" Korina complains he growls at her "Mind your own business!"
"I told you to stay indoors!"
"I'm not your prisoner and you can't treat me like one!"
"You are not my prisoner but you are not allowed to leave your room without my knowledge!" He yells back.
"That doesn't make me different from your prisoner" I glare at him.
"One day you shall accept my ways and try to please me" I let out a laugh, "it's never going to happen! Tartarus will become a home before I accept your ways."
"We shall see! MARY!!" She chubby runs in and bows I roll my eyes "puppet" I whisper, "Get her dressed for dinner and bring her to me" he says.
"What is wrong with how I'm dressed" I complain and stare at the cute gown I have been wearing since I woke up this morning.
"Everything!" With that one word he speedily leaves the room.
"Come on girl! The Lord hates waiting" I roll my eyes at her bluntness.
I really miss my parents, perhaps if I ask him why I have no recognition of my birthday he will tell me.
Mary yanks me down and rushes to the closet, "Get undressed" she snaps and I shake my head, "Are you shy" she laughs and I ignore her, of course, I'm shy, I'm shy to get undressed in front of a stranger especially the one who seems to have a problem with me.
She throws many dresses on the bed and let me tell you they are beautiful so elegant each has a corset on them. She comes out with a gold dress and a gold high heels, "change" I wear the gold puffed dress that stops just on my ankles, it has doubles straps two on my shoulders and the other two off my shoulders.
"There you look....manageable" I roll my eyes. "Now let's go! The lord hated waiting" she claps and I follow like a lost puppy.
We get to the dining room and I see Xanthus waiting patiently when he noticed our presence he almost smiles, almost. Mary bows and leaves not before glaring at me, "Sit down little one" he points at the seat close to him.
I remember my question and I smile at him "Thank you" he stares at me surprised, the table is filled with different foods, I'm served and I stare at how much the food is, I open my mouth to protest "You have to finish your food Aurora" he interrupts and I force myself to nod.
"Why can't I remember anything about my birthday?" I ask after we finished eating, "I wiped your memory" he answers casually like we are talking about the weather like it's normal to kidnap and wipe a person's memory!
"YOU DID WHAT?!?!" I yelled and he brings his attention to me, "You heard me right" I feel like slapping him but I know better than to hit a greater the demon, the hunter's weapon on my wrist itches to be used.
"Why?" I feign calmness, "You saw my demon form and you were scared, I didn't want out relationship to start on fear" I heart unknowingly soften, "You could have asked me," I say, "I didn't want you to be scared" he places his hands on my cheeks "You are my mate, my queen, my dawn, I couldn't bear the look you gave me when you saw my beast form" Wow, I step back before things will get any more heated.
"I'm going to bed," I say, I see hurt in his eyes before he nods.
I change into my nightgown and lay on the bed, sometime in the night I feel hands caressing my body I tried opening my eyes but I'm unable to, the caresses my body still I fall asleep again.
I wake up the next morning wondering who was in the room last night, I take a bath and dress up in a casual dress and went for breakfast"Good Morning" Xanthus greets and I nod, he stares at me like he knows something I don't.
"Did you have a nice sleep?" He asks
"Did you?" I decide to ask him the same so I can eat my food in peace, "oh yes! One I have not had in decades" good for you!
"Okay" halfway through breakfast the door burst open. "Why the hell did you the guards not allow anyone in here?" A blonde lady yells and I see Xanthus eyes harden, I guess he doesn't like being questioned.
"Why are you here? After you have been told not to disturb me?" I almost smirk at the look of disbelief on her face.
"What do you mean why am I here." Xanthus growls lowly, she must be stupid to ignore him because she snaps her attention to me "Who the hell are you? Xanthus why the hell are you having breakfast with a human slave? I--" Xanthus growls louder this time and that shut her up, "You have no right to question me, Lilith, you have no right to call her a slave. And do not call me Xanthus!" Burn!!!! I almost laugh out but u refrain.
Lilith stares at me then Xanthus, "Leave" she stares at him as if he betrayed her and that is when I laugh and she speeds out of the room and I continue laughing.
"I'm glad you find that entertaining" Xanthus rolls his eyes.
