The egg was actually saying his prayers. It wasn't very loud, but the fact that he was able to pray in whispers like she had was surprising and confusing in thought. She still wondered if this egg would be of much help for anything, but, it was still an egg in the end. The only way for it to be of any use would be after it hatched. She began to think how the gods and goddesses would have him take care of this mess. Even when he's just an egg, he's still a god, right?
This taboo business will obviously be a tough one. Even if she can guess, the thoughts of the celestials are still as unexpected as reality is. In the end, the real fantasy of the world will always be reality itself. Now, she can only hope that the Goddess of Mercy is willing to lend her and this egg a hand in their dilemma. Not to mention, this god is already in a bind. After she frees him, he'll be in a foreign territory. A pretty bad situation too...
