The tremor grew stronger as she hurried to safer grounds. An earthquake?!
Away from her spot, she looked up and saw the rocks tumble from the rocky hill to which she hurried to the white beachy back flowing down from the hill top. There was a sudden loud crack as a crack suddenly formed in the ground.
A fault!
The crack ran across the rock bed as the ground began to split. She was surprised as she saw this. The earth wasn't just shifting into the depth of the dirt, but it seemed to be swallowing the entire surroundings around them. the stream broke apart with the fault as the water seeped into the earth.
"This is bad." She muttered quietly and hurried to more open areas.
