In my childhood, a monster lurks beneath my sheets
This daunting abomination cannot be seen
Yet it creeps, it hisses and calls me by my name
Most nights my father would come in and save the day
"I'm so scared!"
I begged as his hands crawled under my skirt.
He then nods,
"Shush, my dear. Let's keep these things... quiet.
