Arriving at the Gate made Mares and the rest of the group who had never seen this type of construct, meaning everyone but Duro and Muten, realize it was not just the Gate that was there.
There was a whole series of things around, almost a small community of sorts.
A floating city with various sorts of buildings existed in front of the Gate, which was located at the very back of the city.
Even from afar, the crew could see that the city had a lot of movement. Free Star was in no way sticking out as there were dozens, if not more, of other ships around them as well.
For the members that had been on Crixus, who were used to very large audiences, or Duro and Muten who had a decent amount of experience traveling around, it was not much.
But for those that came from Duro and Enela's planet, meaning Enela herself, her daughter, her followers, and Fenda who had minimal contact with people outside the junkyard, it was a lot of people.
