Far away from the solar system Mares was currently in, on an isolated planet, there was a base with high levels of technology and magic. And that was compared to the already elevated universal standards.
One would have a hard time locating the base, be it by using sensors or the naturally enhanced sensors of warriors and mages. Functionally, it was almost the same as if it was not there.
It showed the level of formations that had been used. It was both astonishing and scary, and surprising that they had gone to such lengths as it was just the size of a mountain. It was already easy to hide and was on a far away isolated planet, meaning few would ever go there.
And yet, they went to such lengths to be extra sure.
There were various groups of people going around the base doing various types of work. Most of them looked like and were researchers.
However, the type of research that happened there was all less than pleasant.
