After the last of the ships was done with, Mares was sitting on the main control, looking at the outside.
They were already leaving the planet's atmosphere and the stars and darkness of space started to surround them. It was a surreal experience for the group, and even with their wish to question the silver-eyed, they took in for some moments, appreciating the view.
"Thanks…"
Feeling a hand softly touching his shoulder, Mares looked back to see Stella with tears threatening to form in her eyes.
He more than sympathized.
"It was my promise after all."
He answered, gently holding her hand and taking the piece of fabric out, to look at her in the eyes.
Stella had obviously already paid attention to Mares' eyes before, but it was only now that she truly looked at them, and allowed herself to be taken by her beauty and allure.
