Chapter 15 - Rules

"Yes, young master, the Guild other than it being an organization which does job requests that have to do with crafters like making pills, medicines, magic formations... etc, or jobs for cultivators like hunting some monsters that threaten the safety of someone or requesting killing specific materials from monsters or herbs, it does all kind of jobs if enough reward is provided and it doesn't harm the interest of the Guild, and there is also the inside program which makes sure the Guild always has good talent and crafters, it nourishes talents by planning a public test in its Guild branches all over the continent and usually it happens every 5 years, it selects new talents from the age 15 and below, when it ends people are given a study period of 5 years to prepare, and the cycle repeats itself, the rules are better inscribed than told I'll prepare a paper for you young master to read.", Ion spelled all the information she knew about the Immortal Crafters Guild.

"I see... jack of all trades a master of none, or in this case a master in crafting.", muttered little Ihan words that surprised him as he never heard this saying before even Ion standing by his side nodded at the wisdom.

"Would you excuse me young master to pick a paper and a pen from your desk?", asked Ion respectfully as a golem she didn't have a free will unless her master or in this case young master commanded her to otherwise only the tree intelligence has the authority.

"Go ahead.", only after little Ihan permitted her did she move.

She went to the desk located in a corner of the room and by its side a "transparent window" where one could witness the scenery outside the flying ship, she stood in front of the neat and orderly desk then opened the drawer picked a white paper then the black ink and brush then bent down with a curve and started writing gracefully, one would view her figure for that of a beautiful little angel if someone - with enough maturity in another area little Ihan hasn't achieved yet - was present they would spurt blood through their nose.

After a count of 5 seconds she returned by little Ihan's side and presented the neat written and organized paper which spelled all the information about the public test, it read as follow:

Little Ihan took his time to read the information instead of just glancing then using photographic memory to re-read it, after 5 minutes he fully understood and memorized everything, he then turned and requested an odd request from Ion if she was among the living then she would be caught off guard.

"Ion I want you to reproduce an examination situation, you being the examiner and me being tested, in all the trials but the Second Trial!", that was little Ihan's request, this was an odd request because it came naturally off little Ihan's tongue.

"As you wish young master!", and of course Ion didn't let him down.

"Alright let's go to the desk and start right now.", said little Ihan after getting off the sofa.

He walked toward the sofa with Ion following his trail, he sat on the seat but couldn't reach the desk... well Ion seeing this situation offered her help, "May I help you young master?", asked Ion and little Ihan not knowing shame or blushing nodded calmly, Ion then sat onto the seat and after getting permission from little Ihan she picked him and sat him on her lap, from this scene they looked perfect and harmonious due to little Ihan's otherworldly looks and Ion perfect crafted body one would confuse them for a little brother being taught by his big sister.

"Young master shall we start with the First Trial?", asked Ion after settling little Ihan on her lap.

"Sure let's start.", replied little Ihan with an odd look on his face, if he hadn't known Ion was a golem he would've certainly believed she was alive due to the soft and smooth feeling her skin gave off, it was just like how humans skin felt and even better.

"Alright since the young master has already passed master's trial otherwise you wouldn't come with master and be given a Disciple Crafter Crafters book then I am going to have you mention all the ingredients you remember and when you finish I'll score you off according to the Guild's Grades.", said Ion not wasting any time.

"Alright, first there is the White Jade Sand which can be found... and is used as..., the Snow Leaf which can be found... and is used like so..., The Purified Life Water which can be made as... and be used in...", and so little Ihan started describing everything he gathered from the ingredients book following the same order they were written in the book...

*Author's Notes*

I didn't put a chapter yesterday because I felt the prologue 0 & 1 were both lacking and rewrote some/most of them to improve the introduction to the story and since I caught some cold in SUMMER would you believe that?? *sigh*

Btw here is a picture of how simple magic formations would look like with the circles being Meridian openings of a magic formation and where they absorb and charge energy from: https://imgur.com/a/MrgHw8K
