The plan was quite simple, but also quite daring. The alliance would send a small squad of some of their elite soldiers forward, while the army marched towards Silce.
The squad would have arrived near the border town, Framas, about a day or two ahead of the army.
However, the army would only be a distraction to pull the main army of Silce away from the capital, while the small squad would infiltrate the capital to either free the king or kill the usurper Judas.
Crushing Fang was chosen to lead the small squad, since if one of the other major tribe elders left the plan might fall through.
The Silce army and Judas might notice something amiss, but Crushing Fang was only the interim elder as Radiant Light was preoccupied. So him leaving would not raise too many suspicions.
After receiving directions from their elders, many famous and well-respected warriors started running out of the giant army and made a group off to the side.
Crushing Fang pointed at Leon and Aurora and gestured them to follow.
"Follow me."
Both Aurora and Leon were surprised, so Leon raised his eyebrows.
"Us? We are joining the elite squad?"
Almost rolling his eyes, Crushing Fang just started walking as he spoke.
"Of course, we need Aurora as a guide, and your the only person who doesn't even remotely look like someone from the Great Plains."
Everything he said made a lot of sense to Leon, so he just followed Crushing Fang along with Aurora.
Soon they reached the group of warriors who all casually glanced at the three before they all froze and double-checked to stare at Crushing Fang.
Leon and Aurora looked curiously at the warriors, while Crushing Fang didn't even notice it as he was used to it. This was due to the fact that Crushing Fang was most likely the strongest warrior who wasn't an elder and in fact, if he was in any other tribe he would have already risen to the title of elder.
Unfortunately, his old man was a monstrous existence that was old but still stood at the pinnacle of power in the Alliance.
Leon saw two familiar warriors walk up to the trio and realized it was Raging Bull and Little Lightning who waved at Leon and Aurora and respectfully greeted Crushing Fang.
Crushing Fang gave a little nod to show his acknowledgment then started to explain the plan to the group of warriors.
"We will move ahead of the main army and infiltrate the capital to take that bastard of a snake down. Now we will move on our mounts, which I hope you all have. If not go ask for one from your respective tribes or ask to ride with another warrior."
No one moved, but suddenly animals started to appear out of thin air.
Serpents, bulls, horses, and more animals appeared and Leon's jaw dropped to the ground.
Crushing Fang looked at Leon in total surprise and laughed a little bit.
"First time seeing that?"
Leon nodded his head before Crushing Fang smiled and started to explain the situation.
"Well almost everyone here has reached at least three breakthroughs and with most bloodlines usually a mount comes with it. Of course, the mounts respond to their bloodline animals, however most mounts aren't suited for combat."
Hearing his explanation, Leon was curious and excited about whether or not he would eventually get to ride on the giant bear or Roc.
"Does that mean you have one as we-"
Before he could finish, Crushing Fang summoned his mount which was a blonde wolf the size of a carriage.
The blonde wolf looked incredibly similar to the White Wolf that Radiant Light had used during Leon's bloodline awakenings.
As Leon was about to say something a familiar horn sounded in the distance and suddenly the army started to yell.
There were so many voices that the air trembled and vibrated with the loud cries of the warriors.
Even though he was already a decent length away from the army, Leon's eardrums felt like someone had used voice amplification magic and started screaming in his ears.
Then they started to march forward but at a very quick pace. It was like a beast stampede as huge amounts of dust were kicked up and made the army even more terrifying.
Crushing Fang yelled out loud as he saw the army start moving.
"Alright let's move out! Follow my lead."
Leon looked around awkwardly as he didn't have a mount and saw Crushing Fang gesture for him to get on the wolf.
"Get on!"
With no choice, Leon helped Aurora onto the wolf before he got onto the furry back of the wolf that was quite warm and pleasant as if he was near a fireplace.
The wolf started to sprint and the wind howled in Leon's face. Although, the speed was nowhere comparable to Radiant Light's jet-like speed throughout the air.
Leon was still impressed and smiled as he felt the familiar wind rush into his face as his rather long hair flew into the wind.
With nothing left to do, Leon made sure to balance himself on top of the moving wolf that seemed like a train as it barreled across the terrain at such high speeds that the army that had left an hour before was already slightly behind the elite group.
After finding a suitable balance, he started to practice strengthening his bloodline. He knew that the first breakthrough would be the easiest, but even with two weeks of straight practice he still hadn't broken through.
Leon circulated lots of mana through his blood that was eagerly sucked up by his two bloodlines that seemed like a never-ending black hole. However as he continued to do this throughout the span of a couple of hours, he noticed the Roc's bloodline start to show some reactions.
Although Leon had nothing to base it on, he had this innate instinct that told him that it wouldn't be too long until he broke through.
Meanwhile, his other bloodline still seemed quite a bit away and Leon could only think that the difference was the fact that the Roc ate the drop of blood that Radiant Light had gifted him.
Thus Leon smiled with curiosity and yearning to make a breakthrough.
