"B..bella?" She heard a voice behind her and she didn't have to turn around to know who it was. The grip on the handle of her car door tightened for a while before she let go of it and decided to turn around.
They were now standing face to face, none of them making a move.
"You came back?" She questioned, her eyes wide, taking in every inch of her. There was a weird strained emotion lingering between both of them, making it difficult to close the distance of just a few steps.
"Hi," was all she could say in return. She didn't change a bit.
"Hi then…I guess." came a hesitant reply from Sandra.
Where she wanted to run and pull her best friend into a tight hug, she did the totally opposite thing. She turned around, sat in her car and drove away, leaving Sandra gawking at the dust behind.
