Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2

(Scarlett)

Saturday morning, I wake up lazily drinking my surroundings, the shaded curtains of my room were wide open and a human figure standing right next to my bed with a tray in the hands.

"Morning, lil sis! Hope you had a peaceful night."

"Morning, Ron. I wish I could have a peaceful night. "

"Hmm...I definitely don't know what you are talking about and I don't wanna annoy you by asking for a explanation. So, here's what gonna happen, you are going to have this delicious, mouth watering breakfast that I bought for you and then get ready cause I am taking you out."

"Where are we going?"

"Well first, you need go shopping for your school which starts in the two days. Second, you need to know your neighbourhood, cause then ofcourse I won't want my sister lost on her first day at California. And then third, its a suprise. So now eat and get ready, we can leave at ten."

I frowned at him, still in a really sleepy face.

"Never knew, you are such a control freak."

"Oh, I am many things and I do many things but having your back is my birthright."

He smiled goofily like a nine year old, which he knows very well I hate.

"I hate you!" I said, not meaning it really.

"Oh! You don't." He walked out of my room giving me the space I need but ofcourse shouting 'ten a.m'

For the last time.

The breakfast was seriously delicious and mouthwatering which was also my favourite dish pancakes with chocolate syrup with pure fresh orange juice.

The shower was again very relaxing which if paired with my favourite cosmetic was epic.

At my previous apartment, we would hardly get hot water everyday. In fact it was so small that we had to share a room and the kitchen was hardly big enough for two people to stand. The living room was used as a work place by my mom. She was a true artist, all my artistic skills were an adapt from her. She said she loved working in the living room as she loved being surrounded by colours with fresh air added, as the living room had the largest window, facing the city.

.......

I wore a pair of dark blue jeans with a white crop top paired with a black leather jacket and a pair of black shoes and my while blond hair pulled in a high ponytail.

I headed downstairs where Aaron had his nose literally inside his phone. He wore his usual white tee paired with a blazer and a pair of jeans and his hair neatly gelled. He looks handsome, like really handsome. I have heard that he is one of the knights of the school, the schools rulers. There are three others, other then my brother.

They were bestfriend since 3rd grade and all of them are super rich, just like my father. I also once heard that the knight's parents were really close friends, even now maybe.

"Hey."

He looked up towards me.

"Hmm... Someone's looking good."

I reached the last step and stood there until he reached for me.

"So, I know I told you that we will head out at ten but before... I need you to meet someone special."

"Sure."

We headed towards the swimming pool where a breakfast table was arranged. My father was having his usually breakfast at the table.

"You want me to meet dad, seriously Ron?"

"Umm...not really."

On saying this Ron pointed his finger towards a lady and walked towards her as I followed.

"Morning, Martha!"

"Oh...Hey Ron, seems like you are heading out. And you must be Scarlett."

She pointed her eyes at me as I greeted her.

"Yes, nice to meet you."

She nodded her head and looked back towards Ron.

"Alright Scar, this is Martha Stewart she has been here with us since I was five and she is like my second mother. So, if you wanna gossip or complaint anything about me, you just have to find her."

"Hmm... Like for now you are late and Jenny is gonna be very mad."

"Shit...how could I forget, okay Scar we gotta run."

I give out a small laugh as he grabbed my hand and hurried towards his car.

"See you later Martha."

He shouted back before exiting the door.

.......

We drived for a few minutes and stoped right in front of a house.

Ron got out of the car and so did I. He walked towards a bench where a girl was sitting. She was beautiful. She wore a blue washed jeans with a pink v-neck t-shirt which had white pretty little flowers threaded upon it. She paired them with a pair of black Gucci boots and let her coffee colour hair down till her back.

"Ron! You are late, again. I told you I had my gymnastic tournament practice today."

He kissed her on her cheek playing coy.

"Ohh... I am so sorry. I didn't mean to. It just happened."

"You gave me the same reason last Saturday."

"I'm sorry."

"Fine! Just stop playing coy, it's really annoying!"

There we go again, Ron's goofy smile.

"You know, you are really lucky that I love you, or I seriously don't know what would have happened."

They walked towards the car hand in hand, both looking like romance freaks. As they reached, Ron introduced us, to each other.

"Scar, this is the love of my life Jenny and Jen, this is Scarlett my lil sister."

"Hi!" I mumbled.

"Oh! Hi, I have heard soooo... Much about you. Seriously, Ron won't stop talking about you and your paintings and how much he missed you."

I gave her a small smile.

"Thanks."

.......

We droped Jenny at her class and said our goodbyes.

Then we spent hours shopping and wandering around the neighbourhood

Navigating cafes and stores.

"What suprise were you talking about?"

"Well someone's impatient...and ofcourse if I tell you it won't be a surprise, now would it?"

"Ahh... Come on Ron, tell me."

"No!"

"Either you tell me or I won't be coming." I said not completely meaning it.

"Ahh... Okay fine! We are meeting THE KNIGHTS at the cafe."
