Adam engaged in combat with Asil once again.
"Balance the scales, Krino!" [Adam]
Sensing danger from Asil's elemental katana, Adam decided to use his Soul Weapon.
("What is that?! His divine relic?!") [Asil]
They clashed blades, causing a torrent of wind and lightning to tear the earth around them. Adam was immediately put on the defensive as Asil unleashed a flurry of slashes.
"Compression!" [Adam]
Focusing his ability on Asil's foot, she halted for a moment.
"What the-?!" [Asil]
Losing her momentum for that instant allowed Adam to strike her with his pommel.
"Ngh!" [Asil]
Clenching her teeth, Asil spun around slashing at Adam's ankles.
"Nope!" [Adam]
He expected retaliation and raised his foot over the slash before kicking her in the stomach.
"Guh!" [Asil]
She threw her elemental sword at Adam, who dodged it with a slight tilt of his body. Asil then took the moment that Adam was off-balance to slash with her other sword.
"|Light Edge|!" [Asil]
With a glimmer of light, her slash was faster than the eye could blink. The blade entered Adam's side, but could go no further.
"Huh?" [Asil]
Asil's attempts to push or pull out the blade yielded no result. It appeared that Adam had either flexed his muscles enough to keep the blade in, or it was caught on his ribcage.
"...That hurts." [Adam]
Is all he said before grabbing Asil and raising his blade.
("This is going to be risky!") [Asil]
With a tug of her finger, Adam lurched forward as he felt something pierce his back.
"Urgh!" [Adam]
The sudden pain loosened his muscles, allowing Asil to pull out her sword and create distance.
("That was close…!") [Asil]
Adam stumbled forward, almost falling. Other than the wound on his side, Adam found that the blade of the elemental sword Asil threw was now poking out of his chest.
("...Huh. Would you look at that?") [Adam]
"Cast your heal!" [Krino]
"Fuya de medicis, Heal." [Adam]
As the magic circle began to form, it cracked before shattering.
"...Well that ain't good." [Adam]
"The sword itself is sealing your mana! Remove it at once!" [Astos]
Adam raised his hand to his chest in order to take out the sword, but found it difficult as the blade was made of pure wind. It had some sort of current running through it, pushing Adam's hands away or tearing the skin on his palms if he tried to use force.
"This is the end for you, wandering hero." [Asil]
Asil let out a sigh of relief after finding that not even Adam could no heal himself any longer. She sheathed her sword and assumed the |Windless Slash| stance.
"I'll make your death painless." [Asil]
Adam chuckled.
"That's kinda funny. Cause you know, I'm in a lot of pain right now." [Adam]
Asil didn't reply. Instead, she pulled the surrounding air into her sheathe in preparation.
"...|Windless Slash Arts: Single Point Draw|." [Asil]
Within that moment, a flash of gold appeared. With a loud boom, a large object remained in front of Adam, shielding him from Asil's invisible slash.
"You don't look too hot there." [???]
Hearing the clanking of metal, Adam raised his head.
"Oh. You're late." [Adam]
"The hero is always late, no?" [???]
Before him stood the white and golden living armor, Monalia, Tiffany's Soul Weapon.
"Invigorate." [Tiffany]
With just a word, Adam's side injury was closed. There wasn't much that could be done with the sword in his chest though.
"Thanks, Til." [Adam]
Approaching from the hole in the fort wall, Tiffany seemed to have mixed emotions.
"How did it get like this?" [Tiffany]
"I was careless." [Adam]
"How about you sit this one out?" [Monalia]
Adam nodded.
"You know what? I will." [Adam]
He dragged himself over to the fort wall and sat against it.
"Have at it." [Adam]
Asil was dumbfounded by such development. Not only was the hero that she was going to slay still alive, but a new opponent that may be stronger has appeared.
"Master, go tend to the little hero. I'll deal with this demon." [Monalia]
"Thank you, Monalia." [Tiffany]
Allowing Tiffany to continuously heal Adam, Monalia faced off with Asil.
"Well then, what's your name?" [Monalia]
("A talking armor?") [Asil]
Asil could see the empty gaps within, confusing Asil whether or not there truly was a living being before her. It somewhat reminded her of a dullahan, an undead monster possessing the armor of the dead.
("I don't feel any |Demonic Energy| from it though… Instead, I feel… |Divine Energy|?") [Asil]
Monalia grew impatient from lack of response, causing her to twirl her massive double sided ax in annoyance.
"My second opponent ever and you don't even have the manners to converse with me. I'm truly unlucky." [Monalia]
Monalia then rested her ax on her shoulder.
"I won't be savoring this." [Monalia]
