"Now how will I take down a six armed giant?" was what Adam thought. He's fought his fair share of large creatures, but never one as powerful as this.
"Careful of its magic. If it gets to you, your soul might get sucked out." [Krino]
("What happens if my soul gets sucked out?") [Adam]
"A lot of things that you wouldn't like. Do you really want to hear it?" [Krino]
("...I'll pass.") [Adam]
Adam leapt over the line of soldiers and crossed the ocean of voidlings and undead by jumping off their heads.
"What is he doing?!" [Brandon]
The soldiers were astonished to see Adam entering by himself. Voidlings and undead would try to grasp at him, only to be pushed away or blown apart by some unknown force.
"Such… bravery…" [???]
The echoing voice bore through the human's minds, speaking as if it were there the entire time. The massive six armed voidling raised its golden sword and aimed it at Adam.
"Receive judgment." [???]
A golden sparks of lightning ran up the blade and converged at the tip, firing at Adam within an instant. In retaliation, Adam leapt into the air and brought about his own shocking touch.
"Balance the scales, Krino!" [Adam]
A brilliant light erupted in Adam's hand, revealing his trusted longsword empowered with blue lightning. He went head on against the giant's magic, clashing the two same elements in an attempt to overpower the other.
"An ethereal blade…" [???]
The voice sounded indifferent, but somehow a bit surprised. Either way, Adam had to concentrate on not dying.
"I don't think you're overpowering it!" [Krino]
("Shut up and watch!") [Adam]
Adam merged the voidling's energy into Krino, allowing him to spin around and throw it back.
"He redirected it?!" [Sora]
The giant shielded itself with its arms, causing it to lose one in the process.
"Nice! You're making progress!" [Krino]
The giant lowered its arms and inspected glanced at the empty space where its limb once was. Surprisingly, it appeared to be calm. The giant raised the nub of the missing limb and thrusted it in a pile of voidlings, forcing them to merge into a new arm.
("...Is that also necromancy?") [Adam]
"It's an advanced technique. The amount of mana consumed must be… straining." [Astos]
("Really?") [Adam]
Two plans came to mind. One: Slay the giant before it regenerates. Two: Chip away at the giant until it runs out of mana.
"So, which one will you do?" [Krino]
("Eh, screw it. The first one will lead to the second one anyway.") [Adam]
Adam blitzed through a swarm of undead the moment he touched ground. Using Implode, Pressure Cannon, and the lightning that surrounded him, there was none that could stop him.
"He's… doing it! He's really doing it!" [Brandon]
Seeing Adam approach rapidly, the giant aimed its massive wooden staff at him.
"Burden." [???]
Adam felt a weight drop on him. It felt several times his size, as if three elephants were cast upon his shoulders.
"Ah, curse magic. Annoying as always. Though… I don't mind watching it become a humbling experience for you." [Astos]
The giant circled the staff tip three times.
"Weakness." [???]
Adam's strength vanished. He suddenly felt drained as if he had not slept or eaten for days.
("What the-?!") [Adam]
Struggling to stand, he could barely take a step forward. The undead and voidlings around him swarmed towards Adam, seeing him as easy prey.
"Soldiers! Give supporting fire!" [Sergeant Randy]
Resuming their use of abilities, the unsightly foes surrounding Adam were crushed by the onslaught. Then again, it wasn't long until they became undead or regenerated.
"Adam! Cast a spell to undo the curse!" [Krino]
("Yeah, I'll do that.") [Adam]
Adam did not move.
"Are you going to do it or…?" [Krino]
("Mhm. Don't worry. It's not like I literally don't know the spell circle for it or anything.") [Adam]
There was a sarcastic tone in his voice.
"Oh. Crap." [Krino]
("Not to worry though. I've got just the trick.") [Adam]
Inhaling deeply, the lightning within Adam's sword shot up his arms.
"Ngh!" [Adam]
Gritting his teeth, he pushed the lightning further down his chest.
"Adam?! You can't be-?!" [Krino]
Pushing even further, the blue sparks slowly made its way down. It felt increasingly difficult to manage the power, but Adam did not give up.
"Adam! Your body really can't take this!" [Krino]
("I don't care! I've done it once, I can do it again!") [Adam]
Pushing the lightning even more was like forcing food down his throat. It was difficult, but not impossible. The moment the lightning reached down to Adam's feet, the shocking element left its mark as two words exited his mouth.
"...Soul Aggression!" [Adam]
