The fight started with Alice attacking Howard.
"Already?" [Howard]
Howard ducked under a punch and returned it with a jab at her ribs. However, he quickly found himself dropping to his knees under great pressure.
"What?!" [Howard]
It was like something was pressing down on his entire body. So much so that he could barely lift his head.
"What did you do to me?" [Howard]
Alice smiled.
"Level 7 Gravity Manipulation." [Alice]
"Level 7?!" [Howard]
He was as surprised as the others. Bryan looked at Adam with worry, but there was no sign of movement.
"Are you going to stand there or are you going to fight?" [Alice]
She looked at Adam with a smug expression, believing that she had already won.
"Is that it?" [Adam]
"...Excuse me?" [Alice]
"I asked if that was it. You're going to need a lot more than Gravity Manipulation to beat me." [Adam]
Alice put on a strained smile.
"Really? How about you try it for yourself?" [Alice]
Waving a hand at Adam, she applied pressure on him. However, there was no sign of it working.
("Huh? Did it not activate?") [Alice]
She increased the strength of her ability, enough to cause Adam's feet to sink into the earth.
"How are you still standing…?" [Alice]
Adam yawned.
"Do you have more in you or not?" [Adam]
Alice released her ability on Howard and completely focused it on Adam. There was so much pressure that the ground beneath him bent downwards and cracks formed in the dirt.
"Am I seeing things?" [Bryan]
Adam stared at Alice with a calm expression.
"I think it's time I wrap things up." [Adam]
Raising a hand, he aimed it at Alice.
"Pressure Cannon." [Adam]
With a single blast of air, Alice found herself knocked off the ground.
"Ack!" [Alice]
The air in her lungs was pushed out, leaving her breathless. Alice hit the ground rolling, practically gasping for air the moment she recovered.
"That isn't level 1 Compression…!" [Alice]
As she attempted to catch her breath, Howard rushed at Adam.
"Is it your turn?" [Adam]
Watching carefully, Adam blocked two punches and pushed Howard back a few steps.
"Come on, then." [Adam]
Adam provoked Howard by wagging a finger at him.
"You really think you're all that?" [Howard]
"Try me." [Adam]
Howard engaged in combat once more. However, Adam managed to evade seamlessly.
("This guy is nothing compared to Aurora.") [Adam]
He recalled his training with Felix inside the white room, always losing against the seemingly young girl.
"Hey, you've got something here." [Adam]
Evading a punch, Adam placed a finger on Howard's chest.
"Huh?" [Howard]
Looking down, his face was met with an uppercut.
"Ack!" [Howard]
"Tsk tsk tsk…" [Adam]
Clicking his tongue, Adam waved a finger back and forth.
"Didn't anyone tell you not to listen to your opponent?" [Adam]
Howard glared at Adam with growing frustration.
("If only I can get a hit in… I just need to hit his weakness!") [Howard]
There were three glowing spots in Howard's eyes, and he intended to use them.
("If only there was something to distract him.") [Howard]
He then had an idea.
"Alice! How about a truce?" [Howard]
Alice, who had just recovered, pulled herself to her feet.
"Deal." [Alice]
Adam glanced at the others watching from the sidelines with a strange expression.
"You see these guys? They're actually teaming up on me." [Adam]
Leo and Robert were unsure of what to say so they just shrugged.
"Alright, let's see what you're made of." [Adam]
Alice and Howard charged at him from opposite sides. Alice increased gravity on Adam to slow him down, but he still looked to have no effect.
He tilted his head to dodge Alice's punch and grabbed Howard before throwing him at her.
"Oof!" [Howard]
"Watch it!" [Alice]
The two tumbled together as Adam chuckled at the sight.
("Is this how Roy feels when he makes fun of me?") [Adam]
It was somewhat of a delight to watch them struggle.
"Care to try again?" [Adam]
The two quickly untangle themselves before confronting Adam.
"I was kidding! You're actually going to try again?" [Adam]
Alice went in first. She threw a few punches before spinning into a high kick. Unfortunately Adam predicted it and grabbed her leg.
"Now what?" [Adam]
He then felt a sharp pain in three locations, causing him to turn around.
"Ow?" [Adam]
Howard and Adam stared at each other in shock. Adam was surprised that he had forgotten about Howard, and Howard was surprised that Adam's only reaction was a measly "ow".
"I could've sworn I hit your weak points." [Howard]
"...Your ability is more useless than you thought, huh?" [Adam]
Hearing those words seemed to crush Howard's spirit.
"...I'm done. I lost." [Howard]
Adam then turned to Alice.
"How about you?" [Adam]
Alice was stunned by Howard's sudden forfeit. In the end, she grit her teeth and joined him.
"...Fine. I surrender." [Alice]
