Lightning rippled around Adam's body, slowly forming armor piece by piece.
"He… He's unlocked soul aggression?" [Arthur]
Adam felt like he was on the verge of passing out. His whole body vibrated as plain white plated armor appeared on his arms, legs, chest, and head. Eventually, even a cape adorned with a weaving of a griffon showed itself.
("I must stop him!") [Typhon]
He attempted to get closer, but the lashing of lightning forced him back.
("There's no choice, but to run in!") [Typhon]
Steeling his resolve, Typhon charged in.
("Here it comes!") [Typhon]
Lightning struck his body, causing him to feel a searing pain. His armor felt useless against such elements, but he persevered.
"Urgh!" [Typhon]
His advance slowed. Typhon was merely steps away, yet he couldn't reach Adam under the storm of thunder.
("A… bit… further…!") [Typhon]
Step by step, he came closer. Until finally, Adam was within reach.
("Quickly…! I need to do it quickly!") [Typhon]
Gripping his weapon, Typhon raised it slowly under the torrent of elements raining down upon him.
"Young warrior… You were quite talented, but your story ends here." [Typhon]
It was then that Typhon swung downwards. However, it was also then that the unexpected happened.
"Huh?" [Typhon]
He suddenly found himself frozen in place. His sword was no longer within motion, and his eyes were interlocking with Adam's.
"You're wrong… My story… is just starting!" [Adam]
Adam's sword suddenly changed. The longsword suddenly changed color. Its blade turned white, and its edge hummed a bright blue. The sword guard formed into two lion heads which let out a deafening roar, whereas the hilt compressed into a diamond that seemed to have lightning sealed within.
("He's progressed this far already?!") [Typhon]
Adam swung his sword, unleashing far more power than before. The ground was shredded by lightning, the air vibrated alongside a lion's roar, and Adam's will remained unyielding.
("This strength?!") [Typhon]
Typhon took the attack head on with his twin blades.
"Ngh!" [Typhon]
Letting out a loud grunt, his muscles strained themselves to withstand the force.
"So… be it!" [Typhon]
Raging flames spewed out from his armor, somehow matching Adam's might.
"That's not enough to kill me!" [Adam]
The two clashed once again. Lightning and flame intermingled, drenching the surroundings in ash.
"You've grown quite formidable! It's unfortunate that you've met me!" [Typhon]
He stomped the ground, allowing him to create a wall of flame that surrounded Adam.
"He's trying to block your vision!" [Krino]
Before Adam could gather his thoughts, Typhon leapt through the flame at him.
"Burning Cross!" [Typhon]
His blades lit aflame as he slashed at Adam. However, Adam reacted quickly by ducking underneath and placing his palm below Typhon.
"Pressure Cannon!" [Adam]
A blast of air sent Typhon crashing into the ceiling, causing him to lose his weapons in the process.
"Now!" [Krino]
Seeing an opportunity, Adam aimed his sword skywards as Typhon fell.
"Hm?!" [Typhon]
Realizing the situation he was in, Typhon grabbed Adam's blade before it could run him through.
"What?! Get off me!" [Krino]
A current of lightning was sent directly into Typhon, but he endured.
"Did you think mere lightning will stop me, young warrior?!" [Typhon]
Shifting his body, Typhon planted his feet on the ground. He then proceeded to punch Adam repeatedly until Adam accidentally dropped his sword as well.
("Krino!") [Adam]
Adam backed away, expecting Typhon to follow. Surprisingly, Typhon simply stood there.
"You've now lost your prized weapon as well! Now what will you do?" [Typhon]
Adam went silent.
"...I still have these." [Adam]
Assuming an offensive posture, he raised his fists.
"Very well." [Typhon]
Within an instant, the two closed the distance. A flash of red and blue, lightning and fire collided.
"Urgh!" [Adam]
"Gah!" [Typhon]
The two struck true. They traded blows like never before, their fists cloaked in the elements.
"TYPHOOON!!!" [Adam]
"YOUNG WARRIOOORR!!!" [Typhon]
Not even defending against the attacks, they went blow for blow. Strangely though, a smile had appeared on their faces.
"HAHAHAHA!!!" [Typhon]
"Keh…! KEHAHAHA!!" [Adam]
They were beginning to enjoy the fight. Blood roared in their ears, glimpses of glory flashed in their eyes, and their hearts rejoiced in the midst of battle.
"This is it! Are you not enjoying this, young warrior?!" [Typhon]
Adam grinned. His lips were cut, and his teeth were bloody. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful smile.
"I've never felt more alive!" [Adam]
Chunks of armor started to fly off. Piece by piece. First the gauntlets, then the chestplate. Next the helmet, which finally came down to their very greaves. Even the leggings weren't spared as they attempted to kick each other.
"Agh!" [Adam]
"Kuh…!" [Typhon]
The battle went on and on. Until finally, they were barely able to stand.
"Take… this…!" [Adam]
Throwing a sad excuse of a punch, Adam's fist plopped against Typhon's face.
"Ha…! You… call that a punch…?" [Typhon]
Raising his own, Typhon returned another sad excuse of a punch. Just like Adam's, it did nothing.
"Heh." [Adam]
The feeling extremely tired and spent, the two staggered backwards.
"This won't end until either of us dies." [Typhon]
"Oh, I know that." [Adam]
The two smiled and balled their hands into fists.
"This will be the last one." [Typhon]
"You're right." [Arthur]
A sword pierced through Typhon from behind, leaving an expression of shock on both his and Adam's face.
"Goodbye." [Arthur]
