A few moments ago…
"Orion! With me!" [Felix]
Felix commanded Orion to follow, while Adam headed the opposite direction. They made haste down to the alley, landing in front of the hooded men.
"Stop!" [Felix]
The three hooded men glanced at Felix and Orion with confusion. The one in the middle could sense trouble, so he handed over the briefcase to one of the men by his side and stepped forward.
"Who are you?" [Hooded Man]
"It's proper manners to introduce yourself first." [Felix]
"..." [Hooded Man]
The hooded man nodded towards his men, causing them to step back.
"You have no right to know." [Hooded Man]
He signaled with his hands behind his back, causing his men to flee.
"Huh?! They're running!" [Orion]
The hooded man's companions leapt from the sides of the buildings, allowing them to escape from the rooftops.
"Stop them!" [Felix]
"On it!" [Orion]
He slammed his hands on the ground, which generated a slight rumble from underneath.
"I won't allow you to do that." [Hooded Man]
The next moment, Orion found himself flying into a wall.
"Agh!" [Orion]
"Orion!" [Felix]
Felix was baffled. He didn't see any movement from the hooded man, but somehow Orion was attacked.
"Orion! Can you move!" [Felix]
There was no response. Orion was thrown hard enough for him to be embedded into the wall. He couldn't feel his hands and his vision blurred. There just wasn't enough energy within him to speak.
"Go home before you poke your nose into something you shouldn't." [Hooded Man]
Felix glared at the hooded man, gears churning within his mind.
("What did he do?! How serious is Orion's injury?! Do we have an escape route?!") [Felix]
He thought of several situations, many of which he had ruled out.
("I have too little information!") [Felix]
The fear of the unknown made his will falter, causing him to form beads of sweat on his cheek.
"I don't know if this will work, but…" [Felix]
He charged at the hooded man, only to be flung into a wall as well.
"...Fool." [Hooded Man]
Seeing as Felix and Orion were down for the count, the hooded man turned to leave.
"Where are you going?" [Felix]
The hooded man snapped his head towards Felix, shocked by his resilience.
"How are you still fine?" [Hooded Man]
Felix came out unscathed. Though he had been thrown into the side of a building, not even his clothes were damaged.
"You don't have the right to know." [Felix]
He raised a hand at the hooded man, causing him to put up his guard.
"Silence my foes without fail. Take form, Dianoia!" [Felix]
The floor trembled beneath them, and a large flower soon bloomed before Felix. A purple handle appeared out of the middle, which Felix drew with a tight grip.
"That's… a soul weapon?" [Hooded Man]
He gazed at Felix's sword with caution.
"A blade thin like paper, and long like a river. A purple handle that is accompanied without a guard to show eminence. That is Dianoia." [Felix]
"...You soul weapon wielders will always be strange to me." [Hooded Man]
Felix's blade glinted in the light, but then everything went dark.
"Veil." [Felix]
A dark mist filled the alley, blocking the hooded man's view.
("He's going for a surprise attack?") [Hooded Man]
The hooded man closed his eyes to listen, allowing him to hear the sound of something cutting through the air.
("Now!") [Hooded Man]
The dark mist billowed, revealing a blade piercing through the veil towards him.
("It's fast!") [Hooded Man]
He stepped to the left, avoiding the blade by a hair's breadth.
"Huh?!" [Hooded Man]
His eyes widened in surprise as he saw the blade turn around, as if it had its own will.
("Checkmate.") [Felix]
The blade rushed at the hooded man, causing him to retreat.
"...I have no choice." [Hooded Man]
THe hooded man swept his hands around him and threw them outwards.
"What is he-" [Felix]
An unknown force pushed him back, throwing him into a wall once again.
"Argh!" [Felix]
This time, he wasn't prepared. He felt immense pain from the blow, but he still tried to stand.
"Shit…!" [Felix]
The dark mist dissipated, but the hooded man was no longer there. It wasn't until Felix looked up that he saw him.
"You're… running…?!" [Felix]
The hooded man had already made his way up to the roof Felix used to spy on, already taking his leave.
"God… damn it…" [Felix]
