There were no further interruptions after Toban and his group left. Other than the fact Felix continued to harass Mr. Frank with a myriad of random questions, class ended without any problems.
"And that about sums up the formula. Any questions?" [Mr. Frank]
"Why do you give us homework even though you said you would give us any at the beginning of the year?" [Felix]
Mr. Frank stood there in silence, practically wasting time until the school bell rang.
"I never specified how long I wouldn't give homework. Class dismissed." [Mr. Frank]
The students didn't seem to like Mr. Frank's answer, so they gave him an unhappy look before packing their bags and leaving.
"Hey, Adam. You coming or what?" [Orion]
Leaning by the class door, Orion called over to Adam.
"Oh, just give me a sec." [Adam]
"Wow, you guys are already forgetting about me. How quaint." [Felix]
"Not really. You and Adam are a two in one package, so I just assumed that you were coming." [Orion]
As the two spoke to each other, Adam packed his belongings before coming over.
"Alright, are we going?" [Adam]
"Yeah." [Orion]

The three strolled down the street, mixed in with other students.
"Hey, let's make a turn over there." [Orion]
"Sure." [Felix]
"What? Why?" [Adam]
"Just do it." [Orion]
The three turned into an alleyway and continued on a strange route to their homes.
"Left here." [Orion]
"I think the next left will be better." [Felix]
"Hm, then let's go with that." [Orion]
"Wha…" [Adam]
They continued on a roundabout path, unpredictable in pattern to Adam.
("The hell are these two doing?") [Adam]
Adam asked himself many questions during the trip, but it wasn't until they had arrived at their destination that Adam's questions were answered.
"Nice work guys, we got home without any trouble." [Orion]
"Mhm. There were a few close calls though." [Felix]
The two nodded to each other in agreement, which simply left Adam clueless.
"...So are any of you two going to explain what just happened?" [Adam]
Felix and Orion looked at each other after hearing Adam's question, causing the two to shake their heads.
"Felix, you want to tell him, or should I?" [Orion]
"Screw that, I'm going home. Have fun getting it through his thick skull." [Felix]
Just like that, Felix crossed the street, entered his home, and slammed the door behind him.
"...Well shit. How about we go inside before explaining?" [Orion]
"Sure…" [Adam]

The two made their way into the house and gave their greetings to Vivian and Halia. After dealing with their homework and other trivial problems like Adam choking on a chicken bone, and Orion trying to kill Halia's boredom, they finally found time to have a one on one talk.
"Ugh… I swear, I'm never eating something with bones again." [Adam]
Rubbing his neck as if to check if it was fine, Adam tried to shake off the feeling of something in his throat.
"...So you're becoming vegetarian?" [Orion]
"No, I'm only eating food that was prepared without bones." [Adam]
"Hm. Anyway, let's get to the point. Dante might attack us soon." [Orion]
Adam stared at Orion with a blank face. He didn't feel surprised at all, it's just that the news seemed to be repeating itself.
"Of course he is… So? What about the weird path we took home?" [Adam]
"There were some scouts or students working for Dante on our way home, so we had to take a different route to get home without being seen." [Orion]
"...Couldn't we just beat them up?" [Adam]
"And deal with an endless amount of reinforcements? I'll pass on that." [Orion]
Adam sighed after having his suggestion get turned down. He then tried to reach under the couch, but then realized nothing was there.
"...What are you doing?" [Orion]
"Trying to grab some snacks- Oh. Aurora doesn't live here. Damn, now I can't steal from her stash." [Adam]
"And… Who's Aurora?" [Orion]
"Some short girl who could turn me inside out without much effort." [Adam]
"Wha…?" [Orion]
Making an incredibly confused expression, Orion wasn't sure of what to say.
"...Well, I warned you. I'm gonna head to bed." [Orion]
"This early? It's only eight pm." [Adam]
"I have to set a good example for Halia." [Orion]
And with that, he went upstairs.
("Fair enough.") [Adam]
With nothing to do, Adam also went to his room.
("Hm… I don't feel like sleeping right now. I guess I'll train for a bit.") [Adam]
He sat on his bed in a cross legged position with his back against the wall and began his usual training.
("Compress… Compress…") [Adam]
The mana within him swirled and condensed into his core, slowly strengthening itself.
("Compress… Compress- Wait, this feeling…?") [Adam]
He felt a surge of energy and nostalgia. Within an instant, Adam remembered where he felt such a thing.
("Shit! I'm about to awaken!") [Adam]
Adam recalled the explosion created from his awakening at school, which frightened him.
("I've gotta stop it!") [Adam]
Just as he was about to end his training, a flash of light appeared around him.
("Crap, too late!") [Adam]
"Compress!" [Adam]
Using a strange idea which came to be a questionable method, he decided to compress the explosion.
"Catch it!" [Adam]
Shutting his eyes for concentration, Adam compressed the surrounding area strictly to his skin.
"Agh!" [Adam]
The explosion occurred in the next instant, causing him to feel some pain. Luckily for him, it didn't hurt too much.
("Is it… over?") [Adam]
He opened his eyes for a look around, and he saw something strange.
("What the…") [Adam]
Lo and behold, a naked Adam. His clothing was shredded into pieces, but everything else seemed fine.
"Achoo!" [Adam]
Just now realizing he was no longer clothed, Adam sneezed.
("I guess… I was a success?") [Adam]
