With that in mind my stats page came up. The first thing I did was open the system's abilities tab, it complied by placing them beneath my stats.

-Neophyte of the Abyss- Refining. Adapting genetic ability to serpentis bloodline; Time till completion: unknown.
The first and second abilities I had were rather straightforward. Though I wasn't sure about how to actively use my abilities I would be getting some practise tonight. My third ability was obviously from my human genetics, but it would seem the refining process would take a while due to me being a bloodling. I queried the system for information about the refining process but no response was given back.
I was excited to finally use my abilities, but I didn't understand the naming process of my third ability. Using the system, I accessed the records of the names of recorded abilities. Luckily, I wasn't the only one with an odd name for my ability.
They were not as rare as I thought they were. most abilities were plain, as if they were copy and pasted. Excitement started to bubble in my chest, another rabbit hole to dive into had come just as I had reached the end of my first. I had taken a liking to digging through the subtle clues and following the smallest of leads.
I had just finished my bottled blood when a tiny flashing symbol came into my view, after focussing on the light it opened into a message. It was congratulating me for finishing my daily mission and was awarded my experience points.
Another 15 points to go before I level up. I gained 10 points thanks to the bonus from being from a Terran
With my first daily mission down it was time to hunt. I donned a black coat and headed to the underground parking. I took my speeder off of the rover and loaded my small duffle onto the back. I got on and started it up, I willed my system to show me my destination along with my targets information.
The map popped into place along with a golden light on the ground. I knew it was the system showing me the way there, but it was still a strange that it was all in my mind. Next to the map was a picture of my target.
Name: Marcus Odwen
Age: 27
Level: 1
Ability: Enhanced reflexes and senses.
Convictions: assault, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, possession of stolen goods.
Lead suspect in the James Fallon murder.
It may not be the most impressive sounding ability, but it would make for a good hunt. Local hangouts were listed in his file and I chose the one at the top, a club called Azure. I revved my speeder before I left my home and headed towards the club. It was a few minutes drive from the City Center and on a weekend, the club should be relatively active.
I raced through the streets on my way to the interior of the city, weaving in between vehicles and possibly ignoring a few traffic laws in my path. I reached the club and had my speeder taken by an attendant, I tipped him in cash before making my way to the entrance.
I waited in line for twenty minutes before I got to the front, there was a 50 credit fee to enter the club but it did come with the perk of having house beverages at a highly discounted price. 'Though I was here for a tasty beverage, it wasn't one they had on the menu.' I thought darkly letting a grin spread as I entered the club.
I immediately understood why it was named Azure, pulsing blue lights and more decorations in shades of blue filled the club. Loud music and gyrating bodies filled the dance floor. I made my way to the bar and got myself a drink, though it was mostly a prop.
I slid the bartender and extra 100 credits before I spoke over the music, "Have you seen Marcus?! He told me to meet him here but I haven't heard from him in over an hour!"
The bartender took the bill and tucked it in her bra, she pointed to the second floor, looking up I saw near one of the balconies my target for this evening. I mouthed a thank you to the bartender. I was about to head up when she passed me a VIP pass and a small note with a card.
She gave a sultry wink at me before getting back to work. The note read, "Fuck me later?" followed by her system account number.
I put the card in my chest pocket before heading to the stairs. A bouncer saw my VIP pass and allowed me to go up. Once I reached the top of the stairs, I found a comfortable booth near my target. I sat and sipped my beverage. A very beautiful girl sat and chatted with me while refilling my drink every now and then. I was polite with her but my main focus was the conversation at the booth behind me.
A deep voice was speaking to Marcus, "Alright, you know what to do. Pick up the shipment and drive it to this address, the payment has already gone through so you don't have to worry about anything else."
"Yes boss." another voice came, it was a man's voice but it was a bit nasally than I expected. I assumed it to be Marcus and I asked my server where the restroom was. She pointed it out to me before I stood and asked for another drink, she went to get it while I left her a tip. I made my way downstairs and out of the club. Marcus would only be a minute or two behind me.
I had caught a glimpse of the man that had given him orders, the man had a built like a giant. I matched his face with a crime file while I waited for my speeder. The file was clean, though he was suspected as the leader of the Falcone crime family, Rufus Falcone. He was listed as a level 2 augmentor the ability itself was named Goliaths Boon, the name didn't give me a whole lot to go off of but I would not be attempting to feed on a level 2 for quite some time.
Just because he was a level 2 it didnt mean I couldn't fuck with his business.
My speeder arrived and I waited another 10 minutes before Marcus came out. His car arrived almost as soon as he got out, 'Must be nice.' I thought. As Marcus drove off I followed him from a distance, I could track him with my access to the traffic cameras which gave me plenty of breathing room.
I followed him all the way to a warehouse at the far side of town. I parked across the street and watched as Marcus alighted from his vehicle and went towards the gate. Once the gate was opened, he drove in but left it open.
'Oh Marcus! What a kind soul you are!' I walked across the street with my duffle bag. I snuck over to the gate and peered past it. The warehouse was closed but there was a large truck with a trailer hitched to the back.
I entered the gate and looked around, wherever did my prey run off too?
The gate closed behind me with a slam, "Why are you following me? Do you know who I work for?!" a familiar voice came from behind me. I turned to face him.
"Now Marcus, is that anyway to treat a colleague?" I asked him with a warm smile.
He wore an unconvinced look but there was hesitation there as well, I decided to strike the iron while it was hot and pressed to convince him. "Mr. Falcone asked me to make sure nothing went wrong with the delivery. well to be precise, to make sure nothing happened to the shipment. We already collected payment and if the shipment does not make it, then Mr. Falcone will not be pleased with both of us." I said with a hint of annoyance.
It was at that point he started to let his guard down. He moved closer to me, "Alright, my bad but I need to make sure the shipment is in one piece before we go."
As he walked past me, he turned abruptly and aimed a punch at my face. I caught his fist andvisciously kneed him in the crotch causing him to double over in pain, "Now that wasn't nice Marcus. Why would you do something so foolish?"
I pulled him up and looked at his face grimacing in pain, "Mr. Falcone would never let me look at the package. All of us know that." He wheezed. "You're a dead man." He growled through his pain.
Well, as fun as this was, the longer we stayed here; the more likely I would be found out. I punched Marcus to disorient him. He nearly crumpled when I struck him. his head lolled back and I bit into his flesh. Nothing is quite as enjoyable as fresh blood, I drank a few mouthfuls before I dropped him to the ground.
I filled up several bottles before my snack expired. A few pings and a flashing light showed I had finished a few missions. I ignored them as I located the nearest sewer entrance. I dragged the now cold corpse over and lifted the metal disk away from the road.
I checked the body. I collected a few hundred credits from his pockets and a card with an address on it before tossing the body into the sewer. I heard the body crunch on concrete before I put the lid back over the sewer.
I went back through the gate, curiosity gripped me as I was dying to know what was so important about this shipment. If it was something valuable, then I would be happy to help the Falcones dispose of it. I approached the truck which had keys in the handle, Marcus must have heard me coming earlier when he was getting in. I took the keys to the back of the truck, I unlocked it and took a look inside.
I slammed the doors shut and called Kirene. the keys to the rover were in my room and I ordered her to bring it to my location immediately. Half an hour passed before she arrived, I attached my speeder to the rover and had Kirene take it home.
I hopped into the truck and drove towards the edge of the city. Once we were ten minutes outside of the city's outermost wall, I pulled over on the side of the road. I got out and marched to the back of the trailer, I opened the door once more to see four people chained and gagged.
Three females and one male. They had the bodies of professional athletes, well toned and dreadfully attractive. Though that wasn't what caught my immediate attention. They had the same scent of the wolves from the labs all over them. I removed the gag, but they remained unconscious. I unchained one of the smaller females and brought her out of the trailer.
I sat her up in my seat and laid my coat over her naked body. I slapped her lightly on the cheek, nothing. I slapped her a bit harder, "Wake up." I said loudly.
The shock from the second slap jerked her out of unconsciousness. She looked around and attempted to bolt out of the truck. I placed a firm hand on her shoulder and spoke in a commanding voice, "Sit. Down." She struggled against me. She was very strong for her size but her resistance was futile.
"Where am I?! Where are my friends?! Who the hell are you?!" she launched a barrage of questions as she screamed and struggled under my grip. I slapped her again across the face. She instinctively brought her hand up to her cheek and winced slightly at the pain her touch caused.
I let her calm down and handed her a bottle of water, she reluctantly took it from me and sniffed at the contents before taking a few sips.
"Your friends are in the trailer, behind the truck. I killed one of the men that you chained up. I have no idea how or why you were chained up, but you will tell me why you have the scent of wolves all over you."
