Dani pov
We walk into the pizza shop and take the booth in the corner. I sat down, awkwardly next to River. I had totally frozen up when I met him, he must have thought I was a total weirdo, which to be fair I was, but I didn't have to literally fall out of my bed when I saw him.
He looks at me again and I suddenly feel self-conscious and look down at my outfit regretting I hadn't stayed in my hoodie. I need to somewhere to hide, plus I was shivering. The draft from the door, opening and jiggling with new customers, was angeled directly at me.
Rebecca and River were chatting away next to me, the waiter came and asked what we wanted to order. He stared at me for a very long time, I shrunk under his gaze and watched as he winked and slowly smiled. I pilled a face and looked over to River who was glaring at him and ended up saving me. "Hey mate we will get two large pizza's, one pepperoni and the other cheese and three glasses of water, please. Does everyone like that?" He asked. Rebecca and I both nodded, I watched the waiters hand as he scribbled down our order before walking away. "Dude he was totally checking you out!!" Rebecca squealed before jumping up and letting out a loud high pitched noise. River looked extremely uncomfortable while I just blushed and looked down.
"Mhh this pizza is so good," I said with a moan as the pizza melted in my mouth. It was fair to say I was more obsessed with it than the average human being. I surprizing had lots of fun hanging out with Rebecca and River. They were hands down the funniest people I had ever talked to, though to be honest, I hadn't exactly talked to many, worth talking to. I was sad when we left the pizza parlour before I remembered we were hanging out with some of their friends. Witch admittedly made me nervous, what can I say people can be scary. Especially when you knew if they found out your secret that they would get hurt, that also made it hard to make friends. So I just preferred to go it alone.

We arrived at my friend's house minutes after we left the pizza place. Dani was actually a really cool person and I wanted to get to know her better. I had a feeling we would be good friends. But a waiter was checking her out and I have no idea why that made my blood boil but it did. As we walked up to the door, Dani's arm brushed mine, making me shiver.
Melissa, Clara, Andy, and Nate were already there, so we were the last ones to arrive. I hugged the boys and slapped Andy on the shoulder before tackling Nate and ruffling his hair with a laugh. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rebecca shake her heard and say, bromance as she greeted her friends and introduced Dani. They started laughing when we sent them death glares. Dani let out a giggle before blushing. How many times did that girl blush?
"Right, who wants to play spin the bottle and get wasted?" Nate asked and he was met by us cheering as he chuckled. I looked over to Dani who looked nervous again. "Hey, you do have to play or drink if you don't want to," I told her. She shook her head and told me she wanted to. I couldn't help but wonder if she had just done that in spite of me.
We all settled down into a circle, Dani was opposite me and Becca next to me. "Right your up fresh meat, let's see what you're made of," Andy said. God, he was so straight forward. She nodded slowly before spinning it. It spun for a while wobbling as at it came to a stop.
My chest became tight when I realised it was pointed at me. She let out a nervous giggle before blushing and walking over to me. "Hi," I said with a small smile. "Hey." She replied with another laugh.
I took her hand and lead her outside to the designated 'kissing booth.' We stood awkwardly for a while before she spoke up "let's just get this over with." Did she really not want to kiss me that bad? I leant in and my lips brushed her soft ones. She let out another hick-up causing me to smile against her lips. She slowly melted into the kiss and wrapped her legs around me and I held her by the waist, my back leaning on a wall. I bit her lip lightly and slip my tongue inside her mouth. The kiss felt so good, rough and loose. Plus she tasted sweet like raspberries. She ran her hand through my hair and my hands wandered her back tracing her curves before gently rubbing my thumb against her cheek.
Wait what the hell was I doing? I had only known this girl for what three hours and I had just kissed her. And that kiss certainly wasn't your typical spin the bottle kiss. Plus I hadn't kissed anyone in years, at least properly. Not because no one wanted to, in fact, lots of people did, but to be frank I just wasn't interested. I slowly pulled away and she blushed and looked down, biting the inside of her cheek again. She fiddled with the charm that hung in the hollow of her throat. We stood there for a long time before I cleared my throat. "That was my first kiss." Danielle blurted out before running inside.
I stayed outside for a while trying to process what she had just said. I was her first kiss? How had no one kissed her before? She was gorgeous and that was not a beginners kiss. I looked up to the stars wishing I could just get lost in them. I shook my head, at failed attempt to get a certain girl out of my head before walking back inside.
I found her sitting on the floor with my friends chugging bottles of beer and chanting random words like the rest of them. My friend's speech slurred and Melissa was dancing on the table while Clara sung, very badly might I add. Was I the only one here not completely wasted or high(Andy and Clara)? After a few more kisses Becca declared that spin the bottle was boring and she wanted to play truth or dare.
That was how I ended up watching Danielle run down the dark street in nothing but her underwear and sports bra, Clara twerk in front of Nates neighbour and Andy toilet paper the stuck up jock, Alex's house. Who he had always had some kind of grudge against, at least since junior year high school. I was left wondering what had happened to the girl I saw before when I first met her. Maybe she was different when she was drunk?
After another drink, Dani came up to me, more like stumbling. She poked me in the chest before saying, her speech sloppy and slurred, I could smell the alcohol on her breath as she spoke: "You babayyy are a one hella cutie." She said this right before she passed out in my arms. She was definitely wasted and wouldn't remember much of it. Maybe not even the kiss, which I admit was a bit of a relief because if she kissed me like that again, well im afraid my heart couldn't take it. It would stop beating and I would have to stop breathing.
"Ayy mate. You better get your girl home." Nate told me earning a scowl from me. "She's not 'my girl' ok. I literally met her hours ago. But I will take her home. See yall in what 3 days? When college starts." I said numbly showing no emotion. Rebecca was staying the night with Nate, her boyfriend. So thank god, I only had one drunk girl to worry about.
I drove Dani home, her face shining in the moonlight, you could see a faint smile dancing on her lips even when she slept. I walked around the other side of my car and carefully picked her up. She became a tangle of limbs and I chuckled as I walked into our dorm block. The person manning the desk raised his eye at me and I shrugged and looked at the time. Jesus, it was nearly one in the morning. I took her into her room and slowly put her under her sheets, closing the door with my foot.
I planted a quick kiss on her forehead before burring her in blankets. She looked so cute as she let out a soft snore. I shook my head telling my self she was just a friend, I hadn't dated in years and that wasn't about to change. I slowly crept out of her and Beccas dorm and into mine. I hopped straight into the shower, the warm water relaxing my muscles before I got out and changed into sweats before turning out all the lights and tiptoeing to my room, careful not to wake my roommates. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a deep sleep, Dani haunted my dreams for as long as I stayed asleep.
