"Margo, where are you going? Joel worriedly asked his five year young sister, who was trying to move out of the hospital room.
"I want to drink water." She answered quietly.
"Alright! You better hurry up before mum and Dad come back."He told her referring to their parents who had gone out with the doctor to fill out some hospital forms.
Margo went out of the hospital room in search of the water bottle, moving with no sense of direction. She was just so thirsty.
JOel remained in the room looking sadly at his sickly pale sister Mara, Margo's identical twin. She had caught a serious fever and cough last night, where she was consistently sneezing and shaking to an extent of losing consciousness.
Margo and Mara had persistently enjoyed their play and running in the rain, despite their brother pleading with them not to do so, since they would likely catch a cold. Which came to pass, but with only Mara who had caught the cold.
The twins have always been stuck together at the hip. Wherever Margo would go, Mara also went and vice versa. They are always each other's shield, even at this age...with Margo more of a shield since Mara was the timid one of the duo. Though they were both sweet and lovely before they started their tantrums.
Ironically, they even share the same dreams... that's how strong their bond is. They do everything together, good or bad, like not listening to their parents' warnings.
One of them being, playing in the rain.
SO, here they are in Centralia Natividad's hospital room with a sick Mara who happened to have caught the cold. Between the identical twins, Mara has been always the sickly one, with low immunity and the allergies and what not.
And she was the timid one, always being shy and quiet, while Margo is the healthy, bubbly, talkative and the sharp one.
So despite their stay in the rain, it's only Mara that got sick.
Their characters are extremely different. And if they were not twins, one would say that they are two different people. But this did not affect their sisterly love and Twin bond with each other.
"Wake up Mara." The seven year old pleaded with her unconscious sister laying on the hospital bed while holding gently onto her right hand, laying on her side.
"We are so worried. " He continued, though not a single reply was heard.
ALmost ten minutes had passed and Margo had not yet returned from drinking water. Joel was becoming disturbingly worried, since his parents had always told them to stay together whenever they were in a big place with also alot of people.
Yet again, before moving out with the doctor some time back, had strictly warned them not to move from the room.
'I will just go bring her back.' Joel thought. He stood up and started heading to the door and turning the knob.
"Where are you going Joel?" Emilia asked her son, who was in the process of getting out through the door, stopping him midway from completely vacating the room.
" M-mama, Margo said she was thirsty and went out to drink water and she's not coming back." Joel stutteringly answered, well knowing that he was going to be reprimanded seriously for this.
"What! How can you let her go out Joel. What did we tell you about not moving from the room? Huh!" Emilia blinded by shock angrily shouted at her son with a scowl on her beautiful face.
'Where did she go get water from. This place is full of people, what if she loses her way back. Couldn't they call for a nurse.' She worriedly thought.
"Don't shout at him honey. It's not entirely his fault that Margo wanted to drink water. Let's look for her instead of blaming Joel." Leonardo calmed his wife. He was always the calmest and a more composed man one could ever find. Rather Emilia was the one that got super mad and riled up when the kids didn't listen to her.' Or literally anyone.'
"You know Margo. She tends to be so stubborn sometimes, and am sure she would have still moved out, despite Joel telling her not to." He continued telling Emilia who was becoming restless.
"Okay! I'll go look for her." She said.
"No. You stay here with Joel and Mara, in case she wakes up. I'll go look for her. Am sure she's close by around the floor. No need to get worried." Leo told his wife.
"Alright hon."
EMilia remained in the hospital room with Mara and Joel, who was spotting a frown on his freckled face. Disappointed in himself for not listening to his parents.
"Joel, sweetheart. Am sorry for shouting at you." Emilia apologised.
"It's my fault mama, I shouldn't have let her go out of the room." Joel said with glossy brown eyes. Deeply regretting letting his sister out of his sight.
"I know you didn't mean to. And am sorry for blaming you for it baby." Emilia regrettably told her son.
"But she's been gone for long!" Joel said on the verge of tears.
'Oh my God. What had she done. She was surely disappointed in herself. She always tends to act before thinking.
"Baby, don't cry. Papa has gone to bring her. Okay." She consoled while embracing her son, deeply regretting shouting at her boy.
She knew he was also saddened, since he loves his sisters alot and even at his age he was extremely protective of them for wherever they went. Sometimes, he surely acted like a grown up, despite his young age. Always talking sense into his twin sisters.
"Mama, what's wrong?" A small voice questioned interrupting their panter.
Emilia shot her eyes up, looking at her sick daughter who had just regained consciousness.
"Mara... You're awake!" Joel smiled looking at his sister while running to take a stand at her side.
"Baby, how are you feeling?"

"Where are your parents little one?" A friendly looking and young nurse with a soothingly soft voice asked the beautiful girl who was looking around, while kneeling down at her level.
She was surprised to see the young girl again on the first floor after having seen her on the set floor.
That means she has been roaming and came alone on the first floor.
'Where could her parents be? Had she lost her way back to her family? Maybe she surely did, since the hospital was quite big.' She thought worriedly.
"They are with the doctor." She answered politely, looking up at the nurse who had on a soft smile on her flawless face. She had indeed lost her way back to the room, finding herself on the first floor.
.
"I was with my brother, Joel and my sister, Mara. She is sick." She added sadly.
"Alright! Come with me. I'll take you back to them." The nurse told her.
"And don't worry, your sister will get well soon, since she's at the hospital."
The nurse told her with yet again a soft smile on her face.
"Okay!" She nodded.
'Ring! Ring! Ring!
The nurse and the girl both looked around frantically after hearing the blurring sound.
The loud sound of the fire alarm that had gone off continuously.
