Chapter 28 - Chapter 28

Eren

I looked down at my frosty palms, the frost spilling from my mouth almost as freely as a flag in the wind.

"Who is this kid!," One of the men in the group of gang bangers demanded, glancing frantically at his two buddies frozen to the floor.

"My name is Eren Monada... Unfortunately, I had to teach your buddy a lesson on respect," I smirked, raising my fist.

"After all, Its a shame a high schooler beat you up so easily... " I crowed cockily, taking a deep inhale.

"I'll kill you!," He cried, sprinting forward. I grinned, letting the frost on my palm melt almost instantly, then touching my chest, feeling insane burns cover my body. He froze in his spot, staring at me wide eyed

"How are you doing this!," He yelled fearfully, hesitating for an instant. I turned my head and scowled at him, my lips twitching up into a smile.

"Haven't you heard? Anything you do, I can do better," I raise my palm, bright silver light burning in its center.

"STAR FIRE IGNITE!," I screamed, and suddenly a burst of silvery fire ripped from my palm, completely encasing my body.

"See... The thing about starfire... Its really cold... So cold it burns you... So I have the perfect combo of Ice and fire.. all mixed into a dandy little bowl just for me to use... The whole world is so fixated on Magnus Branwell and Lionel Hall... Soon enough I'LL BE THE STAR OF THE SHOW!," I cackled maniacally, before a beam of starfire burst from the armor encasing me, shooting straight through his finger. He yelped, holding up his finger with pain. I smirked.

"Awe... Look at him tremble!," I teased. He turned and sprinted away, leaving his buddies lying on the floor around me. I shrugged. Oh well. I turned on my heel, storming off down the road.

As I stalked away, I felt my marks start to fade, my eye returning to normal. Some may have seen what happened to me as a curse, but I personally don't think so.

I'm sorry, let me start at the beginning. My name is Eren Monada. I'm fiteen years old, a freshman in DaytonVille Highschool, which just so happens to be the same school that Lionel Hall and Magnus Branwell go to. Or used to, back before they were above the law.

You know what always pissed me off about those two? They tried way too hard to upstage one another. Ha! As if they didn't hog enough of the spotlight. Then they had to runaway together, and come bqack and get into fights with the Infamous flare time and time again. If I fought against Flare, I know I would win..

I smirked, cocking my head and staring up at the sky.

"Or should I say... Alexander.."

Flare

I furiously scratched my throat, staring at the video feed that was caught of Magnus's fight with Claire. .. Why didn't she fight back harder! I trained her better than that. And Sarah... She killed Diego.... I'll deal with her myself.

"Are you ready men!," I cried, standing from my seat and tossing it aside, letting ripples of lava spill from my palms. The men I gathered roared with approval, their faces gleaming with hunger for blood.

"These Neanderthals killed and injured three of our own!!! We will make them pay! Remember to bring me back Sarah alive!!1 Do what you please with the rest.

Magnus

I dropped Lios' heavy body onto my couch with a pant, falling to the floor in anguish and exaushtion. Damn.. For someone so tiny, You'd have thought he would be a lot ighter. But now that I think of it, he really did grow out in his time with the SilverClaw gang. He's more muscular. He's definitely stronger.

Would he approve of what I did back there? I thought back to my words towards him, after I thought he killed Lyra. I called him a murder. I called him psychotic. I leaned forward, facing the ground. If he remembered how to fight, he wouldn't have been kidnapped. If thats who he is meant to be... Fine.

As soon as he wakes up, I'll tell him the truth. I'll tell him his past. At least enought until he can remember himself. That way, whether he struggles with who he really is or not, I can help him through it.

"Magnus!," A voice I haven't heard in several months cried. I looked up as my door bursted open, Michelle Hall and a hodded woman carry in two unconcious figures.

One, is the missing frame of one special girl who went missing during the fight with Flare. Sarah. The other, a male... I could swear I recognized him... His hair. His frame.

It's Ryan.

"We need your help,"

One hour Later

I stared down at the three stretcher beds I found in the garage, Lio, Sarah and Ryan occupying them. I turned to Michelle with a frown.

"Where have you been?," I demanded angrily. She held a finger to her lips, gesturing to the sleeping individuals. I scowled and pointed at the hallway, before stalking down it. I leaned against the wall, waiting for her to arrive.

"Magnus I-," She started. I raised a hand, cutting her off. I looked up, letting a serious look cover my face.

"Before you say anything, let me fill you in on the things you missed in the past few months. Lio and I were attacked by Flare and his goonies. We barely made it out with our lives. Lio used too much of his power to save us, and he went into a coma. When he woke up, he had amnesia. He was alone and scared, unwilling to believe what anyone said was true. You know how long ago he woke up Michelle? He woke up three days ago... Now tell me why you weren't there for him," I growled. She looked at me, a dark look crossing her features.

"Don't talk to me like that little boy," She hissed. I smirked, smoke curling off my finger tips as I take a step towards her.

"Or what Mind witch?," I taunted. She glared me down, before pointing out to the livingroom where the injure lied.

"I drank a potion. It put me asleep until someone made the anti affect. Its a fairly common thing for me to make. I gave the recipe to some friends when I first created the spell. I woke up a month ago. I didn't know what happened until you told me. In fact, I didn't know anything at all. I've been staying with a friend in a not so populated area. Even if I knew my way home, which I didn't there wasn't anything I could've done about it. Plus, he is your boyfriend. I thought that you guys would happily take care of him when hes down and out!," She retorted. I laughed coldly, looking down at my finger nails.

"He can't be my boyfriend if he can't remember anything before hand. So, as of now.. We're done," I said with a ping in my chest. However upsetting that truth is, I have to face it sometime. She sighed and grabbed my shoulder.

"Whether he remembers or not... He still has those feelings. But he might not understand them. As far as he knows, those feelings towards you are something natural, and that familiarity is whats keeping him so close to you... But regardless, you boys will figure it out," She promised. She turned and stalked out the hall. I followed suit, seeing Ryan and Lio up and moving, however they look really beat up. Some how, Lio's scar has already scarred. This woman must've healed them somehow.

"Lio I-," I started, but before I could finish, I was being hurtled across the room. A loud crack sounded in my head, and black dots filled my vision. Oh no... What's happening.

"Take the girl!," A masculine voice roars. I turned, seeing them grab for Sarah.

In the flash of an eye, the cloaked woman was upon the man, a demon whirl of swords. However fast she may have been, he was faster, Blocking every attack with some object clamped to his wrist. Michelles eyews started to glow, but almost as soon as they started, one of the men grabbed her by the hair and slammed her into the floor, repeatedly beating her head in.

How... How did they find us?? My mom worked especially hard to find us a seure home... Was Michelle followed?

"Oh... Lionel Hall... How I've been waiting for this moment," One of the men growled, storming towards Lio. I moaned and propelled myself forward, barely moving an inch. My pain drowned with a drunkening buzz. I can't focus.. I can't see.

"L-leave me alone, " He cried. I heard shuffling.

"Aww come on, don't be like that," the voice taunted. I looked up, seeing Lio's fearful face. Then, almost instantly, his face changed, the temperature in the room dropping drastically.

"This is pathetic... If you want to claim my life and My body... You can't cower to men like these!," His voice completely altered, to that of the boy I knew months ago. In an instant, a large icicle tore from the ground, slashing the mans side. He howled in pain, stumbling away from Lio, who smirked, raising his frost palms.

"What? Scared? Don't worry... I won't kill you... But I'll make you wish I did!," He screamed, before slamming both hands down, his eyes glowing silver. This is Lio... Like I've never seen before. He's different.

" Meet my new trick.... WINTER EXECUTION!," he cried maniacally, a wave of spiky shards of ice ripping from the ground and shooting through the roof, slicing through limbs, sides, cheeks, anything to knock them off balance. As soon as they fell, Lio let out a deep breat, holding up his frosty palm a little higher.

" Now freeze,"
