Chapter 1 - Norman

Norman's head was still reeling from the force of the bullet which had just entered his skull. Norman who was a 25-year-old man born in Boston, Massachusetts thought back to the events leading up to this moment. He had been born to a poor white family of three, his two brothers and him who was the youngest.

Both of his brothers were involved in the underworld and ended up dragging him into the business at the tender age of 12 years old. in the beginning, everything was good he and his brothers were steadily making a name for themselves and slowly building up their gang but tragedy struck. 8 years after the formation of their gang the family had to decide a direction they wanted their gang to go, due to varying ideas the three brothers decided to split up their gang.

5 years later Norman's gang had been steadily on the uptake. Norman hadn't heard anything about his older brothers since they had split up their gang. one night, while Norman was walking to his car, gunshots, started to ring out from a car which he had thought was passing by although he had tried his best he ended up catching a bullet to his forehead.

Although Norman had come to terms with his death he still decided to pray to god for a second chance and vowed that if he got his second chance he would do everything he could to live a righteous and good life. As he was praying, a light started to shine so brightly that he could see it through his eyelids.

As Norman was forced to stare into the bright light, he thought of the things which some survivors of near-death experiences often said about the light at the end of the tunnel. Thinking that this must be the gate to heaven he came to terms with his supposed fate.

"PUSH!" Norman looked around surprised because as soon as he heard those words the darkness which seemed to go on forever suddenly contracted and pushed heeding to the mysterious woman's commands.

'That woman must have been God,' Norman thought since who else could control space itself . feeling himself get nearer and nearer to the "Gates Of Heaven" he decided to get his story straight since he had decided to convince God herself into letting him past the "Gates Of Heaven".

The closer he got to the "Gates" the louder "Gods" shouts were getting, soon he was on the edge of the gate at that point his eyes became accustomed to the light and what he saw made him open his mouth wide open in surprise.

The area he had just arrived in was no heaven, it was no more than a hut made of what looked like mud and grass. Looking around he saw four things which he took note of. the First was that there was a woman who was essentially lying spread-eagled on a bloody cloth mat after noting this fact he turned to the next person in his line of sight which happened to be a male who seemed to be anxiously waiting for something.

The man fainted on seeing him, which surprised Norman even more. the next thing he had noticed was that he was being held by a pretty woman who he could swear was smiling at him. the final and most shocking of these revelations was that he had somehow been transported into a tiny body. After making sure that he was still male, he realized his prayers had been answered which made him start bawling his eyes out after realizing that this was his once in a lifetime opportunity.

At that moment all three adults in the room breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the baby start to cry "that baby had me I almost thought something was wrong with it " said the man who was now standing up. " Don't jinx us, honey" the woman lying on the floor said in a playfully angry voice. "you should get some rest Meri" said the man to the woman on the floor in a concerned tone.

"I will once I see my baby," she said with a determined look on her face, the other woman who had been silent the whole time agreed with the woman but made her promise to rest afterward. "what shall we name him," said the man in a whispering tone because the baby who had tired himself out crying had fallen asleep in his mother's arm. "Maddox" the woman whispered back before falling asleep with her baby.
