Captain Izad fished a key from his pocket (possibly taken from one of the captives) and inserted it into the keyhole on the huge metallic door. The door opened, revealing a dark room beyond. Captain Izad's fireball lit up the room beyond. Hugo immediately noticed a multitude of metallic cases adorned with concealment runes.
"The mana is emanating from those cases," Freya said. Despite the proximity of an enemy, she sounded excited.
"I can tell," Hugo replied. He could also feel potent mana seeping out of the seams of the lidded cases. However, he suppressed his excitement and returned his concentration to the captain.
Izad's gaze was directed at the cases. However, Hugo could tell he was still paying attention to his surroundings. He continued waiting for an opportunity.
His patience soon paid off.
