A neon diamond
drags its color in the water
Pushing the ice to the surface
Little, cold shards
Melting into a glass
Sustained, controlled
Shaped with the purpose
To hold anything it is given
I'm leaving the water there
I'm never letting it pour from the edges
For holding something only means so much
When it is taken from you
I won't let you go
You won't stop me
Will you?
You won't work with time
And be the tick that counts itself
Absentmindedly
To let the neon liquid fade
The glass sparkling as it shatters
Finding hearts to slice
And the little glass in front of me
Tipping over
With the head of the skyscraper
As the water of a greater body
Swallows it away
You'll stay with me forever
Won't you?
