"Okay, I am here to hang out with you. "
"What do you want us to talk about?"
"Faries!" and with that Zoe raises her eyebrow at her beautiful friend.

"Why are you black?" She asks straight up.
"What! Is that a problem? are you uncomfortable with my color?" Zoe asks her on the verge of drowning her friend.
"Sorry, I mean your parents are white, Nate is white but you are black. I know you all are related since you had a DNA test. But do you ever question why?" The curious little girl asks.
"I honestly do not know why. Maybe it's because I am special. And it's not a problem. It just makes my family unique, " little Zoe says.
"Oohhh okay!" She responds with high enthusiasm.
She grabs one of Zoe's history books and gives her friend a supernatural look.
"What?" Zoe asks.
"Why do you read all these books? Like almost everything you do is read. Why do you like reading?" Ephi inquiries from Zoe.
"Ephi, which question should I answer first!"
"Umm the second one!"
"I like reading because it soothes my soul. It is my own secret kingdom. I am never going to be a Queen so why try, " Zoe says if only she knew what destiny had in store for her.
"Hmm, deep!"
"I hope that answered your question, " she says while wishing her beautiful friend will leave her to her books.
"No! Wait, you haven't answered my first question. Why do you like reading history books? There are a lot of fictional books out there but why history books?" She questions her friend and she takes a deep breath.
"I feel like I relate to the one with the eyes of fury. Her name is obsidian, it's similar to my middle name. It would have been pure luck but then everything happens for a reason. Every time I read on her, I feel like I am not weird. I hear what the kids say about me and it's fine. She makes me feel like being myself is all I need in this world." Zoe says and Ephi's mouth was wide in shock.
"Wow, Zoe don't listen to what they say about you! They are purely envious of your radiant talent." Ephi says and she gives Zoe a big hug and as a result, Zoe's book falls into the water.
Zoe looks shattered but recovers the book back quickly. only the back pages are soiled.
Zoesephi looks shattered and is scared that Zoe might hate her. contrary to what she thinks Zoe says "Let's go for a swim" and gives her friend a huge smile.
They swim in the lake for a long time. if only they understood that, that will be their last swim together.

I feel sweat beads on my forehead.
It has been a few hours late I wake up and I was in between Vincent's strong arms and I looked up and shifted a little trying not to wake him up but I failed miserably. I remember the injection. Oh, I am so going to get him back.
