Chapter 69 - Chapter*Sixty-eight

Kani's POV

Saturday

Welcome back to the story where I fall apart. You are in for a surprise.

Luke told me why he thought Aubrey suddenly had to leave and I believe him 100%.

So all I have to do is figure out a way to get to him.

Aaron suggested it.

There is only one problem. I have to get to England before prom. I've slowly realized that while he's over there trying to fix this mess I'm over here doing nothing.

We get it.

But, maybe if I go there we can convince the queen together. Maybe just maybe she'll consider. It might not be the end of the world if we did stop seeing each other, but I don't want to stop seeing him.

It's weird to think about that.

So that's why I've convinced my mom to let me go. It's perfect timing too, the school has cancelled all activities due to weather and it won't clash with our schedules.

Safari and Fryday are coming with me, but here's the other problem. Our flight has been delayed three times already, because of the weather.

There's usually never any bad weather in California , but I guess nature hates me.

We sat in the airport waiting again until Safari decided she wanted Starbucks for the third time.

"I'll be back." She said before getting out of her seat and leaving Fryday and I for food.

I stared at Fryday and he nervously glanced back and fourth between me and the floor."Stop staring at me you creep."

"How long have you known?"

"Before Christmas."

I made a loud dramatic gasp which turned heads and Fryday just slightly covered his face out of embarrassment."Why didn't you tell me?"

"At first I didn't know you knew, but turns out you did. Like I said Kani these walls ain't thin."

He said and shrugged at me. His black hair was messy and his green eyes were tired. He's probably stressed out too.

At this moment Fryday and I were brother and sister. Not officially, but it felt that way. It's been a few months since he came, and soon it'll be a year.

"What about you?"

I was pushed out of my thoughts when Fryday asked his question."What about me?"

"Your the center Kani. Something's bothering you.How do you feel about everything?" Fryday said as he played with the strings of his hoodie.

"I feel confused. Jason's back at home safe and sound. Jacob agreed to marry Lisa. Their younger sister is probably doing just fine. So why is she still in my hair? That's not even the worst. My mom doesn't completely agree with my actions." I complained to Fryday as I slumped into my chair.

"Well, hopefully this plan works, but are you sure this is worth it?" Fryday finally looking in my eyes.

"Definitely, besides we made a promise to never give up."

"Give up on what? Your relationship? Kani open your eyes! This whole thing is ridiculously stupid. You're chasing after a prince who's supposedly trying to calm down the Queen of England. He's a prince what kind of power does he even have? He can't even leave his country and here we are hoping we can see him. What chance do we have Kani?" Fryday argued and sat up in his seat.

"I know we can do something at least. We made a promise-"

"A promise? This is the real world and bad things happen in the real world. In this case Jason is the bad thing, the bad thing that could get you killed. I don't care how much you love him he's not worth it." Fryday said irritated. His green eyes were found angry and he was gripping the arm rest of his chair.

"Fryday I know your trying to look out for me, but I have to try. It's the only way I can at least breathe in his direction. So if you'll come with me-"

"I can't loose you too!" He suddenly yelled.

He was comparing me to his older brother.

"Kani, I can't do this anymore. I can't sit here and pretend like everything's okay when you know it's not. People are after you Kani. People want you dead, what do you not understand? All you care about is a boy, you're sixteen!" Fryday said and stood up from his chair. He ran a hand through his her black hair and sighed heavily.

"Fryday you promised."

He laughed a little."Are you serious right now? You sound like a kid. I'm going home." Fryday said and started walking away from the lounge area.

He can't just leave me here to fend for myself.

Who does he think he is to tell me what's right or wrong?

I'm going to see him.

Jason's POV

Meanwhile in England

Few weeks ago

Press meeting

________________________________________________________________________________

I sucked in my courage ready to show the world of how controlling my mother is, but I can't risk anything anymore.

"The truth about my mother is, she is very kind and fair. She was only trying to look out for me and it was my fault for trying to run away. I apologise for my actions. I not only ask fro forgiveness from my mother, but from the people as well."

Immediately people started flashing their cameras and cheering as loudly as they possibly could. I glanced at my mother who was busy studying the crowd of people with smile on her face.

I glanced at my brother and sister who were also in their own world's. I could've easily exposed her and got what I wanted, but she's my mother in the end. I can't just do that. I need some type of warning so she can back off.

Don't worry Kani I'm not giving up just yet as long as you don't give up either.
