Kani's POV

I called Jason seven times.
In those seven times, I called.
He never answered.
Then just to my luck, an article about the Queen had been blowing up.
It was about Jason being in England and being safe and sound. I didn't believe it, I refuse too.
Why did he go back? Was it my fault? I felt a wave of sadness and I started to let tears run down my face.
Why am I crying over him? I can't like him. No matter what, because he's a prince and I'm a high school student.
Even if I let myself fall in love with him which I already have. How can that work?
I decided to call Aaron, but I still couldn't help the tears.
"Kani? Is that you?" He answers worriedly into the phone."Did you know? Did you know that Jason was gone?" I said I was basically crying now.
"Kani listen I don't think-"
"I tried calling him, but he never picked up. I called him seven times and he never answered." I said as I tried to calm myself down.
"Kani he isn't-"
"What does that mean, is he really, gone?" I managed to utter the last word before covering my mouth and silently swallowing the heavy lump in my throat.
There was a long silence. It's scary to think that Jason's gone and it happens to be the day right before Halloween.
"I'm not sure, b-but there could be a double ganger right?" Aaron said quickly.
I sighed heavily into the phone." Yeah, all we have to do is hope right?"
"Kani," Aaron said worriedly.
"I'll see you later."
"Kani I-" Before Aaron could finish I hung up the phone.I plopped myself face-first onto my bed. I heard two knocks on my door before hearing it open.
"Housekeeping."
"Safari go away," I said. My face was still buried in my pillow. I'm guessing she didn't hear me because she just walked in and closed the door behind her. She didn't say anything for a second." I saw the article about the queen. Are you alright?" She said, but I didn't bother to look her in eye. "If it'll be any better we can trick or treat this Halloween. Just like old times right?" I could hear her footsteps come closer my way, then I felt a weight sink onto my bed beside me.
I finally looked up at her, my eyes were red from crying and my curly hair was everywhere. "I'll let you be okay? Fryday is in his room you can talk to him he might be some sort of comfort." She said as she got off the bed and headed for the door. Before she left she turned around to face me again, "I just want to let you know that we are going to dress up like the mean girls. I'm Regina your Gretchen. No questions." She said then left while closing the door behind her.
