stared at my mom, my face scrunching at what I just heard. When my mom saw my sister and I standing in the doorway of her bedroom, she quickly wiped her eyes and tried to laugh it off.
"You've been fired?" I said. My voice was barely above a whisper. "No, no, you've got it all wrong. I'm just taking a break!"My mom quickly said as she rushed over to us."Don't lie mom we heard everything." Devanie said as she held her stuff animal tightly.
My dad slowly walked up to my mom and put his hand on her shoulder, probably signaling her to stop trying to convince us, because it was clearly not working. "What your mom is trying to say is that she got fired. I know this is not something to take lightly, but for now I've still got the seafood shack. So I assure you it's going to be fine. For now we'll just see what happens alright?"
Devanie and I nodded our heads. Our dad pulls us into a group hug. Even though I was worried and angry I shouldn't feel that way at my parents. They've done so much for us and without them we'd be extremely lost. As cheesy as it sounds I really love my parents.
We stayed hugging for a good minute until we decided it was time for bed. I head to my bedroom, but I almost jumped out of my skin when Fryday spoke up.
"Hey princess what's up?" Fryday says leaning on his bedroom door that was next to mine.
"Don't scare me like that!" I said turning toward him. His face turns from an evil grin to an worried expression."Princess were you crying?" Fryday asks stepping closer to me. Not even realising it I wipe my face.
I was crying?
"I am?" I asked as I continued to wipe my face."Yeah, right here.." Fryday said as he leaned close to my face and kissed the tear that had barely fallen below my eye. I quickly shoved him away as soon as he finished."What was that?" I asked him with my hands on my hips."I was just wiping your tear, with my lips." He admitted as he shrugged his shoulders. "Fryday I don't want you to kiss me. Ever." His grin slightly faded and he awkwardly shoved his hands in his pockets."Yeah of course, of course." I smiled at him awkwardly. "I have a boyfriend Fryday and I want to stay with him. For now this, I mean us-it's not, you know what I mean." I said quickly and rushed into my bedroom and quickly closing the door behind me.
"Yeah, I know what you mean..." Friday said as I heard his voice go lower when it dissapeared behind a bedroom door.
All of his actions and the kiss just clearly states that Fryday liked me and I may be getting ahead of myself, but I don't think I like Fryday in that way. As mean as it sounds him and I will never happen. I see him as a brother and that's that.
I'm not being mean right?

Kane's POV
Friday
Outdoor School Bleachers
______________________________________________________________________________________________
I wasn't in a very good mood today and I know exactly why.
I was mad at myself.
I somehow convinced myself that the reason form my mom getting fired was because of me. I had this little scenario in my head that I did something wrong horribly wrong to cause this, but on the other hand I knew this wasn't my fault.
But I couldn't stop having these doubts.
Suddenly there was someones hand being waved in my face. I look up to see a grinning Jason looking down at me."Hey Cookie, what are you doing here?" He says as he takes a seat next to me on the bleachers."Just came to watch." I say flatly as I keep my head towards the field and watched as the boys soccer team kicked soccer balls over and over into the field goal.
We sat in silence for a minute when I blurted out what I shouldn't have.
"My mom got fired yesterday." I said quickly and mentally slapped myself from saying it. Jason was my friend and all, but he didn't need to know everything. Right?
He looked at me questioningly before he spoke again. He looked as if something had snapped in his brain."Kani I-"
"You don't need to worry about it I was just speaking what was on my mind that's all." I said sounding a bit to apologetic than I meant to. He just nods his head and quickly changes the subject.
"Whats your classroom's theme for the halloween competition?" He asks changing the subject."I'm not telling you." I say in a teasing tone, feeling a little bit better about myself. I grin at him as he furrows his eyebrows at me."Why not?"
"Cause' then you'd cheat." I said looking back at the field. I wasn't entirely wrong he once told me that he cheated on the math exams last month.
"I mean your not entirely wrong.." Jason says as he slowly shifts his eyes away from mine. I smack him on his arm as I mentally scold him.
"It's getting late I should drive you home. I mean your mom would love to see me either way." He says as he stands up and starts walking towards the school parking lot."You know I don't like you sometimes right?" I asked as I tried not to trip over my feet when walking through the tall grass.
He just hums in response and it was a long and very loud ride home. It was mostly just Jason trying to sing along to songs on the radio that he didn't know and it sounded horrible, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy his presence.
He was fun to be around.
