Chapter 14 - Chapter*Thirteen

I smile and nod at Luke. I get out of the car and continue walking home.

I didn't have time to think about Luke and his actions. I'm more worried about Aaron and our friendship.

I walk into my house and to my surprise my older sister, Safari, is standing in the the living room entry way.

"Safari?"

"Oh hey lil sister!"She said excitedly and basically sprinted my direction.

"Um, not to be rude or anything, but what exactly are you doing here?" I said and stepped back making sure she doesn't run into me.

"I'm here to help you with that party on Friday. We only have a day left to prepare don't we?" She says as she places her hands on her hips.

"How did you know about the party?"

"Do ever check Instagram?"

Don't have it.

"Actually I do need your help. I don't have anything to wear." I said and I watched as he face lit up with excitement.

"Have you checked my closet?"

Safari leads me to her walk in closet in her bedroom.

She then turned to me with a smirk on her brown face. Her freckles looked especially dark from being in the sun. "So? See anything you like?"

I go behind a curtain she has in the closet and try on the first dress. The dress was dark red, with ruffles at the bottom, it was also a tight dress with no straps.

I came from behind the curtain to show Safari the dress. She immediately started laughing at me.

"You look look like you just walked out of the 1980s prom." I crossed my arms and narrow my eyes at her.

"I think it looks kinda nice."

Also it was from your closet. So technically you looked like you walked out an 80s prom.

"Um, do you need glasses or something? That is the most ugliest thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life." She says and crosses her lega in the chair she was sitting in.

"Okay, okay I get it!"

I walk back behind the curtain. I walk back out again with a lime green ruffle dress and lace sleeves with flower patterns.

"You look like a bush."

"So...not this one?"

"We really need to work on your slang. Just go change. And why do I even have that dress?" She said and shook her head. I laughed and turned around to her closet.

I walk back behind the curtain and walk back out again. The dress was black and sleeveless, no straps, faded from black to white, and touched the floor.

"Wow, that will definitely bring attention to you."

"So this is the dress?"

"Duh!"

I'm going to own that Friday party and everyone there can watch me.
