Chapter 20: Praediti Part 2

Light District,

"King Edryfed and Queen Amelia bore five children. The first born prince now a king, Erwan Beau De La Felinar and his siblings respectively- Ebzen Kirk De La Felinar, Eldon Nye De La Felinar, Ercov Bryl De La Felinar and lastly the youngest a princess whom we do not know even by name."

Moz pointed at King Erwan's label.

"When the King and Queen died from the hands of the demons, the crown was passed to the young Prince Erwan. He became king at a young age. Because he was unready for the throne, Wistal was chosen as his royal advisor." He explained.

"I see."

"Mmm."

Moz tilted the notebook to the other page. "Now, the God Azaria and his Elemental land. Ruler is Raymund Dom Von La Azar and his wife Alicia Rem Von La Azar. They have three children, the eldest next leader is Anzai Ansel Evander Von La Azar. They are wielders of Fire." He flipped to the next page.

"Another long name." Eliana commented.

Her eyes automatically scanned over the two pages noticeably having the similar format from the previous ones.

Starting from the left page Moz immediately started explaining.

"The Elemental land of Mare watched over by the God Mareia. The current ruler is Tideus Del La Mare along with his wife Brance Shyl Del La Mare. Their one and only son is Kylon Cy Del La Mare. They wield the seas."

They shifted their attention to the right page.

"The Elemental land of Caeli watched over by the God Caelia. They wield the element of Air. Current ruler is Roland Will Van Der Caeli his deceased wife is Zalia Van Der Caeli. They have two children, their first born heir to the leadership is Zathur Ezio Van Der Caeli."

They went on and on to the succeeding pages.

"Here the Elemental land of Terra watched over by the God Terraia. Wielders of the living life of the forests. The land is led by Arman Tadd Van All Terra and his wife Vickie Van All Terra. They have two children. The heir to the position is their first born, Jettam Tadd Van All Terra."

Eliana's ears peaked. "Jettam? The Ethereal Seven Jettam?"

Moz arched his eyebrow at the girl. "So you have met an Ethereal member."

Eliana crossed her arms leaning back to the chair. "I have. Tell me, do you know all of these people here?" She questioned pointing at the notebook.

"I do know them, in fact they are good great friends!" He beamed. "But the Azar men are uptight and strict but they are good people."

"Oh, you mean the fire wielders?"

Moz nodded. "Yes, there is a chance you will meet him Eliana."

Eliana's brows knitted in confusion. "Meet who?"

"The first born, Anzai Ansel Evander Von La Azar."

Eliana laughed a little. "How do you even remember those ridiculously long names." She chuckled.

Moz shook his head.

"The Academy-"

Eliana composed herself. "Mmm?"

"The system there is quite competitive and challenging. Today, you have purposely missed the Ranking Assessment." He lowered his head troubled by the fact.

Eliana bit her lip. "What is this Ranking Assessment..."

"It is what the Academy calls it. Ranking Assessment, no one but the Academy and some important people knows it. They purposely kept it hidden, it is a way to rank from those who are in need of improvement and those who are strong enough."

He cupped his hands together. "The Academy is not for the weak heart and mind Eliana. If you were to attend the Ranking Assessment today, it would create chaos. The test is held publicly within the whole school. You would have been caught if it weren't for Wistal and Viena."

Eliana kept her mouth shut while deep in thought.

"How ridiculous for them to send her to the Academy." Moz muttered under his breath.

The atmosphere got heavy.

Moz leaned over to flip the notebook to the next page. He tapped the coffee table lightly, enough to catch Eliana's attention.

"Yes?"

"Shall we continue?"

Eliana nodded. "Please do."

They leaned closer to discuss more comfortably.

"The Fortem Knights, they are knights who graduated from the Academy. Though they are equal, they are still ranked similar to when they are still trained in the Academy."

He turned to the left page. "The Ethereal Seven. They are simply the best of the best during the four years of training in the Academy. The way they are ranked are by two ways. The duel and the passing down. Dueling, in order to earn a certain rank you must defeat the title holder. Passing down, is when the title holder graduates his or her only option is to pass down the title."

"I see." Eliana commented. "Larsanel and Jettam must've received the title through passing down."

"Oh, so you do have met a few nobility." Moz crossed his arms. "Interesting, you've gone for a day and you made friends from the Elemental land of Terra."

Eliana shrugged. "In my defense, I didn't know they were the aristocrats."

Moz nodded understanding. "Indeed."

He closed the notebook. "Last information. Leaders, all of them. Are only ever allowed to rule if they have completed the four years of training in Fortem Academy."

"Heavy requirement, wow." Eliana commented.

"It is logical. Leaders need the power to protect their people. Strength in both the mind and physique is needed. Compassion runs in the chosen families blood, so it is rest assured." He explained.

"This world is really different."

Moz laughed at her comment. He picked up the notebook passing it to Eliana.

She received it. "Thank you, I'll do my best to keep myself educated."

"No problem my friend!" Moz shook his hand.

The old man stood from his seat and walked towards his desk. He sat on the desk table and faced Eliana.

"Tomorrow you will be going back to the Academy. Your rank is one of the lowest-"

"I expected that."

"Eliana, that is rude."

"I'm sorry." Eliana lowered her head.

"It is understandable, humans have lost their knight essence long before." He stated as a matter of fact. "As for your escape, do tell if anyone asks, you have an urgent issue with Wistal in your household. The principal will explain how you have ranked prior to your absence in the Ranking Assessment."

Eliana listened attentively. "Who will train me? I don't think I can do it on my own Moz."

The old man grinned excitedly. "You'll find out tomorrow."

Eliana didn't even bother to hide her annoyed reaction.
