Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 : Little Red

I didn't understand the meaning of my heartbeats

I didn't knew the longing of my eyes

Even if I had tried I couldn't have known the yearning of my soul…..

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Princess Yu Yan was found guilty and stripped of her rank, she cried her innocence but it all in vain but it was the Crown Prince whose beautiful black eyes were hollow and his handsome face looked broken, Hong Liu thought if he loved her aunt so much why would he let happen those awful things? They were not ready to give Xiao Li back but since the Crown prince and her aunt are not registered in the marriage book of mother goddess they were not married in the end Xiao Li was to go back with Hong Liu to Green forest and Heavenly Lord himself has announced the verdict. The First Lord tricked Princess Yu Yan to blur out her own crimes, it was so quick and short, that even Hong Liu until now couldn't understand how he did it? In mere minutes she saw Princess Yu Yan brown deep eyes red with all the crying and her lotus complexion heart-shaped face drained from its beauty.

"Princess Bai Hong Liu, I suppose you are satisfied with the verdict," the Heavenly Lord asked, clearly in his half aged eyes this was an insult. His great-grandson won't consider the prince of heaven

Hong Liu just bowed her head in the acceptance with elegance.

"My trust in heavenly justice has been restored," She said.

"Well if that's it, I will take my leave now," The First lord get up and passed them, where Hong Liu come prepared to create ruckus in the heavens he have in just a few words have solved the whole problem and what Hong Liu started to considered a great help since he went out of his way to help...can she consider it was her or simply it was wrong? No, he did it because the heavenly clan was wrong, after all, he was the first king of the universe and it is the only thing that makes sense thinking more than that it would be foolish on her part but Hong Liu couldn't help that her gaze had lingered on the First Lord more than it should as he passed her by.

The Second Prince Huan Ling who favours the Crown Prince the most, many would say he might be the only person who showed him the parental kindness or companionship of a friend and always a well-wisher was quite happy with the verdict and to find that after all that went by his nephew's love was indeed alive. So he took upon himself to show Hong Liu to Crown Prince Palace, so she could meet her cousin.

When little Li was handed to Hong Liu by the Fairy Maid who taking care of him all this while, her face transferred into complete joy, the fierce Princess of Green forest that just broke the gates of heaven was now a complete child, as she played with him on the bed while the maids gathered belongings of the little prince.

"Don't hold it against my nephew," The second Prince started, Hong Liu looked up at him.

"I know your aunt must hold a grudge against him but some time to protect people you love is to stay silent, he is in love with her and almost died looking for her in the chamber of the eternal hurricane,"

"I don't understand that kind of love. I am not capable of standing on the side and watching my loved ones suffer and neither am I a person who wallows in regrets but I guess everybody has a different way and it's not me the Crown Prince has to ask for forgiveness it's my aunt," She stated. She put back her attention to her little cousin 'pity he won't have wings because he was not born when the aunt was a fairy, he has dragon blood in his veins' Little Li was giggling. She grinned at the child.

"Would you allow my nephew to say goodbye to his son?" He asked. Hong Liu nodded in acceptance, it would be too cruel to not let him than what would be the difference between her and the people who hurt her aunt. Outside of the courtyard, the Crown Prince was waiting. Wearing black robes looking all solemn and like he never knew how to smile, Hong Liu felt pity for him. She handed Little Li to him.

"You are kind, I don't think so, I deserve it," He said.

'He really regrets it doesn't he? GuGu! GuGu! my loyalty to you does not allow me to feel pity for this man but I have never seen more pitiful man than him, looks like it was his trial too'

"I am not being kind, Kindness would be to not to take little Li away. I am just allowing you a goodbye that's just common decency and Now I will leave you to it" she said.

She left little Li with his father for a while and went outside of the courtyard alone waiting for time to pass. She never thought she would come to the heavens like that or meet the legendary Crown Prince like this, his fighting skills and swordsmanship is legendary. He had just squash the uprising of the ghost realm recently and had gained the respect of three realms. She sat in the pavilion looking out at the lotuses in the pond that surrounded it, 'how such a vile people can live in such a beautiful place,' While the structure of the heaven was decorated with marble and gold the celestial trees showering the pink and purple blossom created a true beauty around it and the white and pink lotuses in the pond looked too delicate to touch. She sighs, leaning her head on her hand, closing her eyes.

'GuGu would be really happy seeing little Li back' she thought.

"Admiring the lotuses or tired from the commonation you caused?" The voice was inexpressive but had a teasing glint on its edge that Hong Liu was unable to notice

Hong Liu turned to look back only to see The First Lord standing behind her, his majestic aura again striking her hard and she felt a strange tug inside her, she blinked for a while unable to understand why he was here? Wasn't people say that he, like his life aloof only came out of his palace where he deemed fit which is rare, besides for court he didn't step outside of the palace. 'He must have thought what ruckus I have created,' She thought, in any other circumstance she might reflect upon her deeds but this time it was the matter of her aunt's happiness, she didn't regret a thing.

"The First Lord," She bowed and chose to ignore his comment, she has what she came for. Now, it's just better she leaves silently without creating anymore... commonation.

The First Lord noticed her ignorance of the matter and silently sat on the chair across her with a scroll in his hand, and started reading.

He is handsome, Hong Liu thought, the kind that made her heart race but she sat there with the dignity of a princess. She refused to acknowledge her heartbeats as they doubled in their pursuit to break out of her ribcage. The silence was strange, it was not uncomfortable but it wasn't calm either. Hong Liu nervously chewed the corner of her lips unable to stop her eyes to seek his sight, the sun was sparkling on his silver hair that now she saw had a reflection of gold in it too, he had very dark eyelashes and eyebrows in the contrast to his snow-white skin, his face was longer than average man with a square jaw.

'The man appeared from the ocean of bliss when time began how he was supposed to look this good!'

The tension that was affecting the Princess of Green forest and the former master of the universe seems oblivion to it. The silence was broken with a snap as a fairy maid approached them and bowed. She was the same fairy maid who took care of the little prince, she came with him in arms.

"Your Highness, Prince Li is ready for you," She said with a bow. Hong Liu took him looking at him, she said.

"Your Mother is waiting for you riceball," She turned to bid her farewell to the First Lord but felt like she should say something after hall if he wouldn't intervene. This would have been much harder as she impulsively barged in the Heavenly Court.

Dong Hai noticed her stare and hesitation.

"If there is something you want to say, say it," He said, putting the scroll aside. Her cheeks went pink as she realized she was caught staring.

"I feel that without you this matter won't be settled this easily. Thank you" She said.

He picked the scroll from the table, walked towards and stopped directly in front of her towering over her, he was tall and she only reached to his chest as his lean frame got to her tiny one. She looked up meeting his black stone gaze, that had twinkled in them, mischievous one, seeing the slight half-smile pulled on his lips that transformed his whole face, and Hong Liu's mouth went dry.

"If I hadn't then you would have blown away the whole Nine Heaven, Little Red"
