Yeonjun groaned as he rolled out of bed, shutting his alarm off after standing back up.
He rubbed his eyes and stood up, stretching out his back.
He glanced over to his cat, Dixie, who was sleeping on the clothes he set out for the day.
He walked over and picked the kitten up, placing her on the warm space on his bed from where he previously laid.
He stood up straight and pulled off his sleep shirt, replacing it with an old band t-shirt he got way back when.
He slipped on a pair of sweats he uses when he dances, and slipped his shoes on.
He stumbled into the bathroom, burnishing his teeth and tampering with his wild blue hair.
Once he realized, no, he was not going to get his hair to cooperate, he grabbed a beanie and placed it over the mess on his head.
He walked into the living room/kitchenette of his dorm and grabbed a granola bar, protein shake, apple, and his dance bag.
Yeonjun bid farewell to his kitten, who was just now sauntering into the kitchen to eat her food, and locked the door.
He carried on his way down the corridor and walked into the elevator.
Before the doors shut, however, a boy with dusty lavender hair burst into the elevator, scaring the shit out of Yeonjun.
The boy noticed and bowed his head in apology.
"Sorry! I was just running late and then I saw the elevator open and-" the boy started rambling.
"Bro..it's okay." Yeonjun stopped him.
The boys voice seemed familiar, but Yeonjun couldn't quite place it.
Yeonjun had zoned out the entire elevator ride, and was brought out of his tranc-like state by the ding of the elevator indicating he had arrived to the ground floor.
"Hey! Uh..I'll see you later?" The unknown boy shouted from behind Yeonjun, who could only nod in reply.
'Why the fuck does he seem so familiar?' Yeonjun thought to himself, quietly making his way to the theater before his class started.
Yeonjun was a performing arts student, he majored in acting and minored in music. He dreamt to pursue a musical path, hoping he could get casted in one of his favorite musicals one day, or, become a famous musician.
He slowly walked into the huge room, setting down his bag and taking a seat in the middle of the far left row, pulling out his apple and his script.
His university was putting on a musical called RENT, and he was assigned the role of Angel Dumot Schunard.
Who just so happens to have a dance where he does a backflip in heels.
So Yeonjun not only has to learn his lines and the choreographies, he has to learn that in heels, dresses, skirts, and tights.
But, he's up to the challenge, and as the play was at the end of the school year, he has plenty of time.
Slowly, his classmates started to fill the auditorium, causing a low chatter to fill the area.
"Yeonjun-Hyung!" Yeonjun perked up at the familiar voice.
"Oh, hey Taehyun, what's up?" Yeonjun put his script away, giving his full attention to the younger who was now straddling the seat in front of him.
"I get to work on costumes!!" Taehgun said excitedly.
"Deadass?"
"Deadass!"
"Damn Taehyun good job!" Yeonjun high-fived the younger.
"Also, I think Mr. Seo is gonna have you all take a break from line memorization." Taehyun said before standing up.
"What do you mean?" Yeonjun asked, leaning back in his seat.
"You know how my fashion class and Beomgyu's photography class combined last year to do a modeling project?" Taehyun asked, to which Yeonjun nodded his head up and down.
"I think your class is doing something with the psychology students, maybe making a play about mental illnesses..." Taehyun trailed off.
"Anyway, gotta get to the workshop! Bye hyung!!!" Taehyun waved as he dashed out of the auditorium and down the hall to the clothing workshops.
Yeonjun smiled at his younger friend before finishing his apple and getting up to throw it out.
His teacher came in as he sat down in his seat and cleared his throat, gaining the class' attention.
"Everyone, put your scripts away, we'll be practicing again next month." Mr. Seo spoke out, fixing the glasses on the bridge of his nose.
There were a few audible gasps and whines from the class, causing the teacher to chuckle.
"Don't worry, we're not doing test preperation, we'll be starting a mini-project with Mr. Lee's class" Mr. Seo moved from his desk to close the classroom door.
A hand was raised.
"Yes, Soyeon?" Mr. Seo asked as he returned to his stool at the front of the class and sat down.
"Mr. Lee's class? As in the psychology class in room 159B?" The girl asked, her eyebrows scrunching together in confusion.
"Yes, the psychology class in 159B." Mr. Seo confirmed.
"The project will be a play, well, mini play, only about 10 to 15 minutes long. The plays will be about a topic of your choice, as long as it has to do with psychology. This is a huge part of your final grade for the winter semester. But, as you are the most exceptional class I've had, I have high hope for you." Mr. Seo finished with a smile.
"Now, while we wait for Mr. Lee and his class, you can take out your phones to listen to music while trying to find something you would want to create a play on, good luck class!" Mr. Seo stood up off of his stool and went to his desk in the corner of the class so he could start his own work.
Yeonjun pulled out his phone and started playing one of his favorite songs.
Spotify:
Now playing; 행복했던 날들이었다 (days gone by)
By; Day6
Yeonjun turned his phone off and pulled started to write down a bunch of ideas he and his partner could study and create a play on.
One being, Stockholm Syndrome.
Not less than 20 minutes later, Mr. Seo clapped his hands to gain the class' attention.
Yeonjun shut his music off and slid his phone back into his pocket.
"Class! Mr. Lee and the psychology students are here! We'll partner you up and get you to start working almost immediately!" Mr. Seo said with an exciting tone.
A male, slightly taller than Mr. Seo, walked into the room with a group of students behind him.
Mr. Lee was relatively young for a college professor, only 24 years old, but he was insanely smart.
Yeonjun glance over the small group of young adults, immediately noticing the boy who scared him on the elevator earlier.
"Hello Mr. Seo! Are we gonna jump right in and start partnering the students off?" Mr. Lee said with enthusiasm, a small accent present in his tone.
"I don't see why not! Shall we alternate?" Mr. Seo asked with the same enthusiasm.
"Why not! I'll go first. Minnie, you'll be with Soyeon!" Mr. Lee said, pointing to one of his students that has braids in her hair, to Soyeon, the girl with a short black bob at the front of the class.
Mr. Seo and Mr. Lee alternated between student names until they got to Yeonjun.
"Choi Yeonjun!!" Mr. Seo shouted, gaining the blue-haired males attention.
"You're partnered with Choi Soobin!" Mr. Seo exclaimed, while ushering the lavender-haired male up the steps to Yeonjun's seat.
Yeonjun's heart stopped and his blood went cold.
Uh-oh.....
