Rae and her father were standing not far away from their boat after they have done refurbishing and repainting their boats. With the looked at their faces you will see the contentment, satisfaction and fascination with what they have just done.
"WOAH! Never have I imagined we could come up with a very beautiful refurbishing design father", Rae said with a sign of relief in her voice.
"The outcome was very fascinating father," Rae continue while standing next to her father holding her waist and looked at him smilingly.
"Yes my dear daughter. It's really beautiful, hoping we will be garnering the first prize," her father responded while he looked at his daughter and smiled back. Crossing their fingers as a symbol of hope hand gesture and then appear hand gesture.
Meanwhile at Melaka Hospital..
Gael wearing his plain white shirt and a jogger pants seating in his bed. He's now ready to be discharged from the hospital. With him were Mr. Co holding his documents of discharge and Amelia who were packing his things up.
"Are you ready for your guesting?", Mr. Co said while he is holding the invitation program in celebration for the feast of St. Patron and hand it to him.
Gael took the invitation and read its content.
The hub of the festival is Portuguese Square, on the seafront, which is all deck out for four days. For them, it is the main event of all after Christmas and Easter. He will be joining the Triduum Prayer of St. Peter, after that he will also be joining the blessings of the fishing boats by the prelate.
"Are you sure you will do it? Or do I need to tell Mr. Wong that you need to take a little bit of rest and just go to the blessings of boat with the prelate?", Mr. Co asked while looking at him reading the invitation.
"No I'll go. Don't worry everything is good", Gael said while forcing a smile to Mr. Co.
He took a sigh after reading the invitation program. It will be a busy day for him after all.
"Are you feeling well now? ", the doctor smilingly asked while entering his room with a nurse behind her. The doctor were holding his medical record and she explained to him all the medicines he needed to take and when is the proper time to take it. After reading she hand the medical records to the nurse beside her and looked at Gael.
"Continue with your medicines and don't ever forget to take it on time, okay?", she smiled.
"Thank you for taking care of me doc", Gael said and smiled back.
"I hope to see you again the next time doctor. Not here but probably outside", Gael said smirking to the doctor in front of him.
"I will be seeing you on your next visit here for your follow up check up", she said smiling back at him. Ignoring what he just said earlier.
"I will leaved first", she continue implying to all of them inside that room. She bow her head to Mr. Co and Amelia and the two did the same in return. Then a sound of the door shut.
"Let's go?", Mr. Co said while looking at Gael.
Gael nodded as agreed to him and then they walked out from the room of the hospital.
A customize Hyundai van stopped in front of them and they rode in it.
"What is our first stop?", Gael asked to Mr. Co while he takes his seat and removed his headset from his ears.
"We will go to our hotel first and change. We still have an hour to prepare. Then we will head off to Portuguese Square for the program", Mr. Co explained to Gael while reading their itinerary on that day.
"Okay then", replied by Gael while putting back his headset on his ears and leaned in the back seat of their car. Then slowly closed his eyes.
They went straight to their hotel at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Melaka a very luxurious hotel just 1.1 kilometer to Portuguese Settlement to where they are going to attend to. The hotel offers the best chic room and suites in an upmarket hotel offering restaurants, a bar and rooftop infinity pool. Just as right for the taste of Gael's.
Actually the Moore family have their own beach resort in Malacca. And Gael rather wanted to stay there than anywhere else but the resort is too far away from the place they were going to attend to, that he had no choice but to booked to the nearest hotel in that area.
Mr. Wong had even offered him to stay at their place [as per requested by his father without Gael knowing it] but Gael refused his offer because he didn't want to bother him and rather just stay at the hotel.
At Davis Residence...
"Rae hurry up! We're getting late!", her father shouted while Rae was still inside their house and quickly changing her clothes. Her father was with her mother outside waiting for her to get ready.
"Rae make it quick!", her mother shouted too.
"Coming father, mother!", Rae responded back to her parents. She reach for her backpack, take a quick glance at herself in front of the mirror and went outside.
"I'm ready!", Rae continue while fixing his backpack without even looking in front of her.
"That's what you're going to wear?", her mother asked while looking at her from head to toe.
Rae suddenly stopped from what she were doing and she looked at herself. She is wearing a denim jeans with a blue shirt and a baseball cap. Judging from her look, she wears what a men wears. [Boyish Outfit]
"Why mother? Is there any problem with my outfit?", she asked while looking at herself from bottom to top. With her hand gesture looking at her mother and then to her father.
Her parents look at each other and then back at her again. And then they both smile and shake their heads off. Rae is very confuse with the reaction of her parents.
"Never mind. Hurry! Go now! Both of you!", her mother said while pushing them both to go away.
"Good luck!", she smilingly continue with her middle finger crossed over the top of her index finger as a hand gesture of [GOOD LUCK].
"AJA! We can do this!", Rae replied then they smiled and nodded to her mother.
"Ah!", her mother suddenly stop and then ran inside their house and got something. She picked at her lucky charm bracelet [amulet].
Her mother ran back to them panting.
"Here, wear this one. It will give you both good luck", she said while putting the bracelet in the left arm wrist of Rae. Rae caressed it and stared at it.
"Thank you mother. We need to go.", she said and smiled at her mother and they started walking away to their boat.
Rae and her father turned around and they waved their hands while walking away full of hope and with self-confidence.
Amina [mother or Rae] was still looking at them from far away while they are riding at their boat going to the event they are going to compete. She pressed her palms together and silently pray for guidance of her daughter and husband. When she saw that they were already far away, she walked her feet to their house.
