Denise and Ransford continued to see each other for months. Everything seemed to be going well between the two love birds. Denise was so in love with Ransford and started telling him about her inheritance and her life. Ransford never gave her the impression that he was after her money.
After three months of dating, he started asking for money from her at every given point and Denise never refused to give it to him. She gave him everything he asked for without blinking an eye. She wanted him to be happy.
One afternoon, she decided to pay Ransford a surprise visit. Harold drove her to Ransford's house as he has been doing ever since she and Ransford began to date. Harold helped her out of the car when they got to Ransford's house. She walked inside and made herself comfortable but suddenly she had the feeling to go over to his bedroom. She could not tell why, but she followed her gut and went upstairs.
As she got closer to his room, she started hearing sounds coming out of the bedroom. She walked two steps closer and the sounds became clearer. She could hear grunting and moaning. Her heart skipped a beat when the realization dawned on her. Ransford would not cheat on her, right? He told her he loved her and just her. So, there was no way he would cheat on her.
She quietly opened the door and gasped at what she saw. Ransford was on top of another woman, having wild sex with her, while he was grunting and the woman under him was moaning loudly. Denise screamed Ransford's name out of shock making him jump off the woman. He turned and saw Denise standing there, with tears in her eyes.
"I am sorry to have bothered you. Please, continue with what you were doing," She said calmly, trying to hide the pain she was feeling and left the room. She left the two, to wallow in shame.
Ransford quickly jumped out after Denise, to try and apologize to her.
"Denise. Denise, please wait. Don't go," he caught up to her and tried to stop her when she got to the living room. He quickly ran and stood in front of her, blocking her way to the entrance.
"Get out of my way, Ransford. I don't have anything to say to you," Denise said, trying to hide her unshed tears.
"Please, it was the devil. I am sorry. Forgive me, please," Ransford apologized.
"Ransford. Get out of my way. You know, I thought you were different but you were just like all of them. So, please get out of my way before I scream. Get out of my way, Ransford, before it gets ugly," Denise said again.
"Denise please, I beg you. Forgive me. I am sorry."
Denise looked at Ransford with a stern look on her face and picked her phone from her bag. She scrolled through the contacts on her phone and put the phone to her ear.
"Harry, please can you come and get me? Someone is trying to block my way," she cut the call and put the phone in her bag.
"You and I are over, Ransford. Go back to your woman. She is waiting for you to come and satisfy her. I am so happy I never had sex with you. I would have been badly hurt. Don't ever come near me again, we are done." Denise spat out.
"No, Denise, please don't do this. I beg you. Don't do this to us, please," Ransford begged her. He knelt down in front of her, but Denise was not moved a bit.
Harold entered that very moment and saw Ransford in just his boxers, kneeling down in front of Denise, with Denise about to cry and shaking violently. He wondered what had happened to make Denise look like that.
"Ma'am, is everything okay?" Harold asked.
"Harry, please take my bag, we are about leaving," she hands her bag to Harold who took the bag and stood behind Ransford, waiting patiently.
"Denise, please. Don't do this. I beg you," Ransford continued to beg.
"It is over between us. I don't want to see you again." She walked past him and Harold followed right behind her.
Harold opened the door for her and she quickly sat in the car. Then, sat back in the car. Denise started to cry loudly while Harold tried to console her.
"What happened, ma'am?"
"He is cheating on me. I caught him having... having sex with another woman on his bed. Please, Harry, take me out of here. I don't want to be here anymore," she shook, while she continued to cry.
Harold nodded and started the car. He drove her back to the mansion. She wiped the tears off her face and redid her make-up lightly.
" I don't want mother or anyone to know anything about what happened today. Let it be our secret, okay."
Harold nodded. "I will not tell anyone about this. I promise. Are you sure you are okay?"
"Thank you." She nodded slightly and got down from the car without waiting for Harold to help her out.
Her eyes were swollen and red from all the crying. She quickly walked inside and refused to respond to the greetings of the maid who was walking up to her to take her bag. She just walked past her without saying anything. The maid was shocked for a while but shrugged it off. Her mother was in her bedroom, reading a newspaper when she walked in on her.
"Baby girl, what's wrong?" her mother asked her worriedly when she saw how sad she looked.
"He cheated on me, mother," she began to cry again.
"Who are you talking about?"
"Ransford. I found him having sex with another woman on his bed, mother. I can't believe he cheated on me like this. What did I ever do to him, mother? Why did he do this to me?"
Her mother got up to hug and comfort her. She sat down with her on the bed.
"I am so sorry baby. I wish I knew exactly what to say to make you feel better."
"I can't believe I allowed him to fool me like this. What was I thinking? How did I fall so madly in love with him? I am so stupid. I am sure he has been sleeping around for a while now." she cried some more.
"Oh, baby girl. Don't worry. Everything will be fine, okay? It's good you found out this early. Who knows what would have happened if this had happened after your wedding, huh?"
"What if I don't get any man to love me?" Denise asked when her mother placed Denise's head on her lap.
"Don't say that, baby girl. You will find another man who will love you as you are. I promise you that, dear."
Denise remained silent and just continued to cry as her mother stroked her hair.
