-The Next Morning-
Alissa's POV
I woke up at 6:20 am this morning which was a new record for me. I was so excited to go see everything.
I was all dressed and ready to go, but Maggie was still asleep.
I can't blame her, it's only 7:20. It'll still be fun to wake her up.
I thought as an evil smile played on my lips.
I crept up next to Maggie's ear and shouted
"WAKE THE FUCK UP BITCH!" at the top of my lungs. Maggie turned over and fell out of bed.
"Ow, shit. What happened? Who's hurt?" She asked.
"Nobody, just felt like waking you up." I shrug.
"You're lucky I love you." She groaned and walked into the bathroom.
"What time is it?" She asked.
"7:25 my friend." I answer.
"ALISSA VIOLET MARIE BUTLER! You woke me up at 7:25 just for fun?" She asked with anger.
"Yeah, sorry." I say, looking down at my toes.
"OK, yeah whatever let's just get this day started." She huffed and grabbed a change of clothes.
While Maggie was changing, I decided to go annoy the boys.
I banged on their door a few times until Rickey answered, with his eyes half-open.
"What do you want?" He hissed.
Someone's not in a good mood today.
"Maggie and I are getting ready to go." I say, jerking a thumb in our rooms direction.
Rickey nodded and said, "I'll tell Denzel." He turned around and closed the door behind himself.
When I walked back in our room, I saw that Maggie was wearing a pair of yellow short, shorts. A white tube-top, a yellow bandana, golden hoop earrings, yellow sunglasses and a pair white sneakers. Whereas I, was wearing jean shorts, a white crop top, black sandals, and a pair of Violet glasses.
"You ready?" I ask.
"Oh I'm ready, but Coachella doesn't start until 10:00 am you dumbass. So what're we going to do until then?" Maggie asks with annoyance.
"We can have breakfast with the boys, watch TV, etc."
"I wish I could say that was a dumb plan." Maggie says as I laugh.
"SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS!" I hear a voice shout. Both Alissa and I jump in fear, only to see that it's Denzel and Rickey.
"Morning boys." I say.
"Good morning dear Maggie" Rickey says, taking a seat next to me.
"How did you two sleep?" I ask.
"Like a baby." Rickey says, as he snaps his fingers together
"Comfortably." Denzel smiles.
-2 and a Half Hours Later-
Alissa, the boys and I basically watched a whole season of Ballers in the extra time we had.
"Alright boys and girl. It's time to get his show on the road." Denzel says clapping his hands together.
"Whoohoo! Let's go!" Alissa shouts while doing a funny dance.
When we arrived Denzel asked Alissa to take a picture of Rickey, Denzel and I.
"Is it just me, or is it hot as FUCK out here?" I ask.
"It is really hot out here." Alissa says, fanning herself.
We were all fanning ourselves when I spotted a popsicle stand. I grabbed Rickey and Alissa's hands and shouted,
"POPSICLES BITCH!" We all ran in the stands direction.
We all ordered popsicles and water. We were going to need it. We were walking towards the stage when Rickey stopped me and took a picture.
What is this boy up to this time?
"Go on Instagram." He told us.
I did what he told me and saw my face pop up.
I felt my cheeks heat up. Now that I'd seen the picture, it looked so dirty.
"Rickey, I'm going to kill you." I seethe.
"You'll thank me when Jack pounces on you when you get home." He smirks. My cheeks must've been dark red by now because Denzel and Alissa were pointing and laughing at me. I mimicked them and continued walking.
I was standing next to a tree when I had an idea.
"Alissa, take a picture of me." I say, passing her my phone. She nodded and I squatted down in the sun. Alissa took the picture, it turned out to look perfect and I posted it on Instagram for the boys to feed off of for now.
We made our way to the stage. We stayed for Lorde, Tove Lo and Travis Scott, then we took a break for lunch.
I took a picture of Alissa in her natural habitat, looking like a complete hippy.
Alissa's POV
I posted the picture and smiled.
I'm so fucking weird.
"Alissa! You comin'?" Denzel asked.
"Uh, yeah! One sec!" I shout back. I was about to turn around, when I saw Neels.
"Holy shit, Neels?" I ask.
"Alissa?"
"The one and only." I smile.
"What're you doing here?" He asks.
"It's Coachella. It's my natural habitat Neels, you should know this by now." I say, playfully punching his shoulder. Neels laughed and nodded.
"Right, of course it is. Who're you with?"
"Oh, I'm just with my friends Maggie, Denzel and Rickey." I say, pointing to where the three were standing.
"You can join us if you want." I say.
"Sure." He smiles and trails behind me.
"Guys, this is Neels. Neels, this is Denzel, Maggie and Rickey." I motion, introducing everyone to each other.
"We know who you are." Rickey says, Neels smiles and nods. He joins us for lunch that's filled with laughter and smiles all around.
Maggie's POV
It was loads of fun having lunch with Neels. I'd always thought his modeling was the absolute sexiest tuning ever, but now that I wasn't a single lady, I didn't have a chance. But I could still dream.
After lunch, I checked my phone for the time, 3:50.
We've still got the rest of the day to party like lunatics.
I think to myself. I was putting my phone back down on the picnic table, when I saw an Instagram notification.
Jack tagged me in a picture? Hm.
I opened Instagram, just to see my face, looking weird as ever. I smiled and decided to post a picture for Jack that I'd saved in my memories on Snapchat.
I laughed at how Jenna and Simon noticed the lousy joke I made. I put my phone down and returned to reality.
"So, what're we on about now?" I ask, resting my head on my hand.
"Well, I was thinking that we could take a picture of Neels and Alissa together. Like a reunion type of thing." Denzel shrugs.
"That'd be cute." Rickey smiled. We walked towards the sidewalk and had Neels sit down with Alissa in the background.
Rickey's POV
We were finishing up with lunch and walking back towards the stage to see the next act, when Maggie got stopped by a fan.
"Oh my god. Maggie, can I please have a picture with you?" She asked frantically.
"Of course you can!" Maggie says with a smile. She passed me her phone. I took the picture with the girl smiling as wide as she could. I was so happy that Maggie's fans looked up to her like that.
"Can I get an autograph too?" She asked, shyly.
"Definitely. Who should I make this out to?" Maggie asked.
"Laura." The girl says. Maggie nods and writes something down on a piece of paper that Laura had handed her. I saw Maggie draw a heart at the end and hand the piece of paper back.
"It was great meeting you!" Laura says before turning around and prancing back to where she came from.
"That was sweet." I say, giving Maggie a shoulder hug.
"Who knew Maggie could be sweet?" Alissa asked.
"Hey, don't be so sassy." Maggie warned.
"You're one to talk." Denzel snorted.
"I'm not even going to protest." Maggie says in defeat. We all laugh and sit on the grass in the shade.
"I know this is only our first day here, but it's so much fun already." I sigh.
"I get what you mean." Alissa says, laying back on the grass.
Alissa's POV
The next artist was supposed to be Rihanna, and she wasn't coming on for another half an hour, so we all just waited on the grass while the sun, slowly started going down.
"I'm going to get some more water." I say, starting to stand up.
"I'll come with." Neels says. I nod and lead the two of us towards a stand.
"Hey Alissa." Neels calls. I turn around to see him taking a picture of me.
"Neels! What the hell!" I shout as Neels laughs.
I grab his phone out of his hand and look at the picture. It actually wasn't that bad. I put my number into his phone and sent it to myself to post on Instagram.
I smile and continue walking with Neels. We both bought a bottle of water and sat down on a bench for a minute.
"So, you moved to the U.K. huh?" Neels asks.
"Yeah." I smile.
"How do you like it there?"
"It's awesome. I've got lots of friends there, the scenery is gorgeous, there're plenty of things to do. It's just amazing over all." I grin, taking a sip from my water.
"Good. Look, Alissa, ever since you left, things haven't been the same." Neels says.
"What do you mean?" I ask with concern.
Neels' POV
This was it, I was going to tell her how I felt about her.
"Alissa, I really like you. And when I say that, I mean that I really, REALLY like you. Not just as friends either." I breathe. Alissa was silent for a minute and looked down to the grass.
"Neels, I-" I knew what she was going to say, but I cut her off by giving her a kiss that I'd only ever dreamed about. She was the one to pull away.
I knew I shouldn't have done that.
"Neels, I can't. I'm sorry, I can't. I don't feel the same way, and you're three years younger than me. I'm sorry, but it can't happen." She sighs. I closed my eyes and cursed under my breath in regret.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"It's okay, we can still stay friends." She smiles.
But I don't want to be friends! I want more than that. I want to wake up to see her face every morning, and to love her all day, everyday.
"But Alissa, I want more than that." I say.
"Well, I can't just get together with you, in hope of catching feels for you Neels." She states, standing up.
"I want to wake up to see your face in the morning and to love and care for you everyday."
"Neels. I can't be in a one-way relationship. Its either we're friends, or you just stay away." She finishes.
We're either friends, or you just stay away. Stay away, stay away, stay away. How can I stay away, but how can I be 'just friends' with her?
I sigh, "I'll just stay away then."
I saw Alissa's eyes soften.
"I'm sorry Violet." I say, before walking off. I heard Alissa call my name, I slowly turned around to look at her.
"I'm sorry too." She calls. I give her a half smile and walk away.
